It also includes its predecessor, Tower of Doom: Capcom posted:The classic arcade beat-'em-up adaptations of Wizards of the Coast's pen-and-paper RPG are BACK, remastered and refined for the modern age. Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and its sequel Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara are being re-released with updated HD graphics and a wealth of other enhancements as a definitive double pack, entitled Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara. I for one am unbelievably psyched for this. I used to burn so many damned quarters on both of these games. Plus 4 player drop in, drop out co-op and house rules so one person doesn't steal everything not nailed down? gently caress yes. With this and Duck Tales, Capcom is really riding that nostalgia train which is perfectly fine by me as long as we keep getting games like this. These games are surprisingly deep for arcade beat-em up's, and some of the BEST beat-em ups made. Shame Capcom stopped after this and Battle Circuit.

Oh dang, this looks cool. I played one of these on MAME once and it was awesome but I wanted to play it with real folks. Now I can, neat.

I hope Capcom re-releases the beat-em-up with The Punisher and Nick Fury. Those games were wonderfully violent for their time.

OK, seriously, Capcom is getting dangerously awesome now. I can only assume all this is just to cover up that they're not going to localize any more Phoenix Wright games or something, because

Does this have local co-op? Either way, these games are GREAT and I will buy them day one.

There was a Tower of Doom arcade machine at the beach resort my family used to vacation at when I was a kid. I think I might have spent more time playing it coop with other random kids than I did actually out at the ocean. This is the best.

Played this on MAME. I rarely had a weekend fly by faster than with this game. It's like taking all the best elements from Golden Axe and sprinkle some D&D "light" elements over it.

It's great seeing all those outlandishly creative D&D creatures animated like this. Kinda sad though; big developers in general are so afraid to innovate that rehashing old titles is the best they can do. Maybe the market is getting so bad because of incompetent politicians/economists that they can't afford to take the risks. Maybe the indie scene needs to keep gaining momentum until it knocks the big dummy studios squarely on their asses.

More like these are the deepest and best beat-em-ups ever made. It's insane that there hasn't been anything really like it since that isn't Dungeon Fighter because it is ridiculous how perfect Shadow over Mystara is. It is really THE epitome of what a beat 'em up should be.

Well, the throwing hammers do allow for a lot of infinite stunlock shenanigans.
