Be wary of straight up replacing a move like Hack and Slash with a better version.

That's from Apocworld, actually. Injury rolls do the same thing, representing that having more of something is actually detrimental to your continued good health.

PublicOpinion posted:The difference for me there is that the wizard can choose not to reshape reality, and the druid can choose to be a guy with weird growths on his head, but the giant can never not be giant. I'm less worried about the giant doing things beyond the capabilities of the other characters, and more about not being able to do the things every other character can. The obvious solution would be an Apache Chief class. e: When you Speak your Sacred Phrase to grow, roll +con Mr. Maltose fucked around with this message at 11:06 on Apr 29, 2013 |

You can totally be an Elf thief, just take whatever racial move fits your duder.

It might be an interesting exercise to relabel all the racial moves as Backgrounds like the Inverse World playbooks and come up with names for them.

The new emphasis really clears the class up, but for the purpose of the Bushido move does one's drive need to align with the chosen Bushido virtue? I can see arguments for and against.

Replace his race move with a Minotaur move then go buck wild. The original Minotaur was apparently really stealthy in the Labyrinth.

Needs an advance called Fremdschamen that gives you hold or some effect when your fellow party members roll a 6-.

Doodmons posted:Rogue Trader Apocalypse has an advancement mechanic similar to this where every playbook has their Keys which when fulfilled, everyone gets xp and you get +1 forward. At the end of the session you erase any checked off keys and write new ones. It's 5 xp to level up. Keys own and I'm surprised I didn't think about using them in PBtA games before.

It was one of the people in the X-Crawl Dungeon World thread in The Game Room, because they wanted to app the most 90's Vampire.

Krysmphoenix posted:My only complaint is it seems like that several moves refer to the Wanderer's hidden enemy, without really having a place to define who that enemy is. A super easy way to bring the enemy into focus is replace your Race moves with Enemy moves. Choose between things like A Darkness Across The Land, A Potent Empire, and A Great Force Of Light And Good (because nobody ever said the Wanderer was the good guy, or that all good guys are good together). Obviously gaining the notice of a creeping shadow is different than tripping across an Imperial Patrol.

I, personally, am in love with that Valor move and all the advances for it. I agree with Krysmphoenix that you may want to distinguish hold a bit better, because you can build yourself into having three or four different flavours of hold at once.

Humility is great because unlike other damage boosting moves it's not taking +1dwhatever to your damage, you're giving it to another character. There's a lot more thought that goes into that.

I feel like the B-Baller needs at least one move that adds options or mitigates the dangers of The Verboten Jams, probably a 6-10 move.
