If this is true, I am disappointed. The version on Crunchyroll is pretty censored. Akari's fight with the bear was pretty much nothing but a black screen in the last half of the fight. Nevertheless, the first episode was pretty good, though most of the backstory isn't really touched on. So unless you've read the manga or seen the first OVA, some things about the plot won't make much sense.
