It's nice to hear that base building and management will be more substantial in Elin. I've always thought it was the most fun part of regular Elona, but you need to be fairly rich and accomplished to afford the really nice houses and the good decorations. The actual dungeon-crawling part of Elona never really hooked me, there's tons of other games which do it better, it was always the sheer amount of side activities you could get lost in.

So someone new decided to try his hand at updating CGX to 2.17 and I am not sure if it works or not. This might be the only time we get a new CGX. The final hail mary stretch goals for the last few days are surely high in implications between Dungeoneering, Merchant Guild intrigues, and Elaborate Player Guild wrangling---I reckon they have a chance given how at least historically final week surges can surprise and delight.

Have you seen it? It sort of progressively fills in on the bell, like a meter is being completed. Doesn't seem related to my quests. I thought maybe related to the 'vanish' ability, but I think I've seen them vanish without it going complete. Is it related to some sort of new research or capturing mechanic perhaps?

World experience growth is now directly tied to doing each part of the main quest. Extremely slow at the start and much faster than original after Act 3. Cooking doesn't multiply food and now adds enhanced value and scales forever. Vanquish Hex and Holy Light can weaken debuffs even when ineffective. Stealth skill now lets you do ninja stuff.

Have to admit I was super surprised how well the Kickstarter has done. I spent many many hours on various versions of Elona over the years and figured it was niche enough they'd be lucky to hit the original goal... glad to be wrong! I remember Noa was in a real bad place the last time I had really been up to date on what was going on over there, it's awesome to see the progress that has been made & the help they were able to get on the project. I'm almost as excited for this as I was for Barkley 2 now! This one is a real game, though!
