The Experiment posted:I finally caught up on the Big Bear episodes. Money Mark is really good at making beats. The singer that Dave brought up (Ceci?) is really good too. Steve is so outclassed by the talent involved that it's kind of interesting. I think it will come back once they finish their summer/early fall projects. Asa is still touring and writing her second book and Dave has been really busy. We'll get more episodes in time, I'm sure of it.

Now that the show is dead we can all admit that Steve is loving awful at rapping and it was kinda mean that everybody but him was in on the joke about making his album because it'd be a bunch of talented people trying to propel Rappin' William Hung into the spotlight, I hope. I mean he was still the best part of the show and I can't dislike him because he seems like a sweet guy with brain problems and probably mild retardation, but still.

He's funny but I'm not sure even Dan the Automator could turn his rapping into something good. I'd still listen to it once.

It would be funny if he becomes a rap superstar though, because his career will always be haunted by the pocket pussy stories.

I'm not sure if they treat it as a joke. I think Dave is legitimately interested in seeing Steve Lee succeed as a rapper, which is why he seems to be enlisting producers and guest singers that are several levels beyond what Steve is currently capable of. I think it's going to be a "so bad it's good" thing so for that reason alone, I will get his album when it comes out.

I saw that they released the Mangchi EP. It's not very good except for the beats on it. I know on the podcast that they talked about releasing the instrumentals. That'd be a great idea if they still plan on going through with it.

For tl;dr purposes and for posterity since the DVDASA front page is constantly changing: 1) DVDASA isn't over. Confirmed by Asa here and the producer Reuben here 2) The fourth and final season of Thumbs Up! with Harry Kim is coming soon. If you haven't seen them yet the first three seasons are pretty great and can be seen for free on Vice. 3) Choey and Critter are releasing a show called Global Chaos Tours where they apparently go around the world to dangerous places to 'drink, gently caress, suck, fight, kill, explore and destroy' everything. Apparently they tried shopping this one around to several networks and were turned down by all of them. 4) Steve and Poons' escapades in Macau were documented and will be released. The Macau Brothers trailer can be seen here. 5) If you haven't already seen it, the first Mangchi album Nega Mola was released and more stuff by them and a Steve Lee (Quangou) solo album are on the way. A new Mangchi song and video (not on the album) was just released here. 6) If you've got a lot of money to waste, Dave's new book Snowman Monkey BBQ is coming soon. It's got a bunch of new art plus pictures of some of his crazier real-life text message conversations. 7) The DVDASA crew + Stacy Adams made/are making a soap opera on Instagram or something like that? It's called Hong Dynasty. I haven't checked it out yet but someone has conveniently compiled it all together in one playlist here. 8) Dave was cleaning up his room when he found $100,000 in cash in a shoebox from his gambling days. He offered it to Critter, but of course he turned it down. So instead, they'll be giving away the entire amount in cash to one person. The rules are pretty vague right now but if you're interested, follow all the DVDASA and Mangchi folks on instagram for clues.

For those of you who want more DVDASA and haven't listened to KGB, you should definitely check it out. It would be nice if we had more appearances from Harry Kim, Joey Kurtzman (aka Maury Showbizawitz), and hell, even Yoshi Obayashi on DVDASA.

E: poo poo, quote =! edit. I re-did the OP if anyone cares! Uh, here, have an image instead! E2: Btw new episode featuring most of the people in the above pic. 'New' as in unreleased, it sounds like it was recorded around the time of the World Cup. Still, its a good one, and it's probably worth watching the video. bowser fucked around with this message at 02:32 on Oct 17, 2014 |

Is there anywhere to download the old episodes? I'd like to start from the beginning, and not have to stream every single episode over my phones and use a bunch of data if I can just download an archive of them somewhere.
