Another thing about the Cougar and Warthog are the sticks are theoretically modular (they unscrew at the base). Thrustmaster has the ability to release different sticks for different jets if they felt like it.

So compatible that you only need the key!

Yes, buy it so you get the key and then install DCS A-10C from ED's website.

Not counting the run to Home Depot, an afternoon. If you take your time and glue it together like I should have, its a very stable unit. They have side stick plans as well for F-16 nerds.

The Warthog works right out of the box with DCS A-10C. I like using TARGET for Flaming Cliffs 3 to use the mode switching functions.

I spent about $150 on stuff including tools. It's not hard with a handsaw, but make sure to use a mitre box.

:siren: Update on RealAir installers :siren:

RealAir posted:

A note about installers going into the future

At the moment the installers require you to enter a keycode and have that verified by an online database. We will ensure that continues to work for the forseeable future. We will never allow a situation to develop where paying customers are locked out of installing their products. At some point in the future we will create installers that do not require online activation to ensure that no paying customer will ever be unable to install what they paid for. Customer service will also continue into the future.

I haven't personally had any OOM problems ever so not sure if the 64-bit in itself will be any help for me currently.
Is there a noticeable performance increase?

Performance across the board is up on my six year old compy.

Here's hoping for multithreading in P3D 5. :can:

Tried to install Wings Over Flanders Fields again after a hard drive failure earlier. Oh, the download link has expired, no big deal I guess, I'll just ask a new link from support.

Not so fast.

First, I get a lecture about the importance making physical backups (of a digital download game, in TYOOL 2017), and then I'm informed I get a new link if I pay a $5 admin fee.

I don't even know what to say anymore, seems a tad unreasonable when the game already costs like $70.

If people bitch about the customer not making physical backups of their game, they really need a better web host if they're that hung up on bandwidth costs.
