Mortal Kombat had something similar for the test your might sections and I could never get them to work thanks to being a bad virgin and being really good at furiously mashing the pad. Maybe try mashing the button a little bit slower so it doesn't read the inputs as being "too fast"

I've got an odd glitch, none of my face or hair or helmet accessories are showing up. In my last game I got the Hoff Rynoplasty done and I think that's what knocked it all for a loop. I know it doesn't make that much of a difference, but still. I'll try deleting my saves.

I've started a second play through and they wouldn't show up. Deleting my saves worked though.
