I'm pretty sure no one who reads this thread is dumb enough to do this but please for the love of god stop strafing med/heavy units with machine guns or ignoring them at the end of the match when we only have 1 target left to take down and it is a close match with the other team rushing to take down the last few on our side. Just kamikaze into it to win the drat match. Every game you get one guy of in the corner machine gunning a lone pillbox to death in vain.

with ground targets you really should zoom in on the targets, even when flying treetop level, as with biplanes you can down them before they put holes into you by simply walking fire onto them from really far out. You should be moving faster and not bothering with turns beyond adjustments with mouse and just take targets as they come up in your path. Start high and stay high till you pick a line you want to follow that preferably ends in the friendly area. If you try dropping down onto clusters like a brick or getting all three around the pillbox in one go you will get killed fast. I honestly prefer to play defense in the lower level planes with just machine guns. Just cruise above some columns and AA arty clusters in valleys and you will spend the whole match just picking people off as they come straight at the ground targets and won't bother to head you off first even when they see you.

This new patch really hosed over bombers in arcade. No way to make much money if you run big bombs as it costs too much to drop them compared to what you get for something like a destroyer or battleship. You also get blown out of the sky by anyone who looks at you unless you are in a select few bombers at the lower levels who can last a little bit. Forget dropping them to gain some altitude in the bigger, slower bombers.

I haven't upgraded any crew points since I started playing, save for making reload and repair rank the same as the plane and gforce, and I have the same issue over the last two of patches. It's the worst on maps with water and sun because of all the glare I assume. I think you might have to actually bump up visibility etc.

It's easier to stay alive and hit moving ships with 500kg bombs to destroy them. Torpedoes in arcade feel like suicide runs mostly.

Did they change vertical targeting somehow with the new patch? I used to run with it on previously and now I find my rounds going a lot slower or impacting behind where I normally expected them before the new patch and having to give a bigger lead than before.

This updater does not turn off the game launcher in the background which is why it says it is set to read only. Just mousing over and closing the game will let it finish deleting that file and finish installing. It's pretty stupid.

I was just playing a dynamic campaign and flying a wellington on a low cloud cover, bombing mission. On the way back the entirety of the friendly AI bombers flew into the side of a mountain. All 11 of them.
