I'm loving this thread so far, really cool input from everyone so far. I am a little lost where to draw the line between true 80's, cyberpunk and neonpunk (which is a great word to describe the aesthetic). I just watched Vamp and the colors were fantastic. I am looking forward to watching Beyond the Black Rainbow as I enjoyed The House of the Devil immensely despite a weak ending (which reminds me, does Robocop 2 with the neon glow in the dark graffiti advertising pink glowing "Nuke" count for something?)

Can horror movies also breach the line between reality and the neon? From Beyond is an awesome movie by the same guy (Stuarts Gordon) who did Re-Animator which has familiar color aesthetics especially when opening the gateway to the so-named Beyond.
