In Nintendo's infite wisdom, the 3DS screen is smaller than the resolution that the SNES output. I would have loving LOVED my 3DS if it had SNES virtual console support.

There are a few GBA games on the virtual console, though they might be 3ds ambassador exclusives. Regardless, there's no way Nintendo is going to translate Mother 3 for VC, and little chance they're going to buy the translation.
