It sucks that Slenderman was ruined by spergs and manchildren on the Internet, because I thought it was a cool idea early on. The idea of a creature beyond human comprehension that just appears out of of nowhere to stalk the unlucky few for no discernible reason and slowly drive them insane was neat; it was some nice Lovecraftian style horror of the "Existence is filled with unimaginable horrors and there is nothing you can do stop them if they take notice" variety Anyway, you're both doing a fantastic job Lowtax, they've all been hilarious. My favorites are Dontrel and Potato Pusher just for the sheer surreality. I haven't read much of SCP (Which seems to be a very good thing) but I did like this one I read a long time ago where a pile of VHS tapes had the same guy in them that would talk to and respond to the viewer. It was good because it wasn't trying way too hard to be scary or gross or anything, nothing bad even happened, it was just sufficiently unnerving and weird. Why don't ya'll dudes head on over to the SCP Thread in GBS and ask some of the site administrators themselves? Seriously though that whole thread is in this huge denial fit, it's beautiful. Between Montauk (the Rape Cult Thing) and keeping around super lovely entries "to show people what NOT to do" like artifacts from their "super cool X-Man Self Insert" days and the fanfiction biographies of their moderators they implore you to read to even join their site, you've got plenty enough to admire.

I mean there's some fun SCPs to read in there like the Headless Buttery Highwayman, but by and large a lot of the high profile stuff is really awful poo poo that got grandfathered in from the bad old days.

Most of the apocalyptic/spooky scary SCP things are pretty dumb and stupid, the only enjoyable ones are the benign ones with a twist like the goo that must never ever come in contact with dead bodies but otherwise is completely harmless and freshens your breath, or the cake that multiplies itself every few hours or so
