Even if her actions do seem a little questionable, Zoe does seem to be taking charge. I have a feeling that revival of Madison is going to go horribly wrong.

I don't really understand why the writers chose to name the Haitian god Papa Legba instead of Baron Samedi when the character is very obviously modeled after him. Baron Samedi is associated with black magic and the dead. Papa Legba, while important, is associated with communication.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, I think the problems from this season are because the showrunners initially plotted the show as part of a larger series. There seems be a lot of plot threads dangling to give the characters of a hypothetical spin-off something to do. Nothing is self-contained and until episode seven, there were no major deaths to prevent the show from losing valuable characters. While last episode left much to be desired, we at least did get some plot development. I just hope the show can settle its major plotlines before the season ends. Still confused about the Baron Samedi thing though.

When Luke told his mother that he had spoken with God about her past crimes, did he mean Papa Legba? I was watching the episode where he dies with a friend today and the question came up. Doubt if it will come up again but it could have been (bad) foreshadowing.
