It will be 18 pages of talking followed by 20 more chapters of naked 12 year olds. I have tried really hard to get into this manga, and I think Negima may be my favorite manga, but the fact that we have had nothing but naked lolis for the last 9 months\30 chapters has really soured me on this manga. I think after 5 chapters of outright naked child race I am gonna set this aside and come back in a few years when Akamatsu figures out whether he wants to draw shonen or pedobait. Be honest, guys. If not for the Negima connection this manga would be viewed about as favorably as Strike Witches was, and IIRC there was a time when you would get banned just for mentioning that on this forum.

a race with no particular stakes could have been fine. not something i particularly care about, but not every chapter has to be great. only this bullshit was just an excuse for akamatsu to draw naked children. it isnt like the man went easy on that crap before, what with all the bath scenes and title pages, but the race has really been too much. so i have to ask myself, is the rest of the manga good enough to make up for the softcore kiddie porn? the answer is obviously no. it could be the most amazing work of fiction known to man and the answer would still be no, and this is just a shounen fighting manga. i still have a slight sense of shame left, so im done with this.

Negima toned it way down after it started doing a lot more shounen battle stuff. It was at the level where it was kind of a background thing, there would occasionally be a moment where suddenly everyone was naked for the barest of reasons and we'd all roll our eyes and say "oh, Akamatsu". UQ Holder has cranked it way the gently caress back up, though. How many full-page shots of naked 12-year-olds has he crammed into this stupid jet ski arc?
