What is the most dollar efficient way of purchasing that exact list? I don't want to mess up and order the wrong guys. Also, does anyone have any advice for how to glue on the little fins that for the Gao-Tarsos (Tohaa jump troops)? I have had no luck in getting mine to stay put.

Acceptableloss posted:Can someone explain what tactical role remotes fill? There are some standard remote types: the sentry gun, the guided missile launcher, the mobile forward observer. There are faction specific ones as well. Yu Jing and PanO have some neat options for remotes, but I will leave it up to better minds to comment on how good they are. They fill the exact same roles as infantry with some strengths and weaknesses. They can be hacked, but I dont think they make Guts rolls. (Not sure.) You also must take either a TAG or a hacker to include one in a list, but suffer no direct effect if that model is removed from play during the game.

I have managed to not buy Corregidor yet, mainly due to the starter being unavailable. Can you guys recommend 300 points of Neoterran Capitaline for me? I already have some stuff for PanO Military Orders (including a box of Auxilia).

Goddamnit. As soon as miniaturemarket sent me an email that the Corregidor starter was in stock, my resistance disappeared. So, I guess I am now playing (painting) Nomads! It seems to me that the Corregidor force is just so much more flexible than the Military Orders force I have. Mobility and the availability of specialists just seems to have much more utility than space knights. How does Military Orders deal with all the mobility that other forces bring to the table? It isn't like they have access to the Aguila or Swiss Guard. Does their strength actually come from the high quality light infantry from the Order Sergeant?

When you add in the second wound, you can really see why it is so good. dexefiend fucked around with this message at 19:40 on Sep 23, 2013 |

Two friends and I played a game yesterday, and it wad a blast. MVP of the game was the Veteran Kazak with AP HMG. That guy is crazy. Who needs technology when you can field that guy! As for my guys, the Order Sergeant with TO Camo and sniper rifle controlled a huge chunk of the board. My Haqqislam friend seemed to struggle a bit. What is a good heavy lifter for them?

I think I'm set! I might want a second box of AuxiIa. Now to convert my friends so I have someone to play against.

I hope they take this opportunity to give a little flavor to some of the less optimal choices. E.g. Moblots, Orcs, Mobile Brigada I just realized all the examples I listed on my head were heavy infantry. Maybe their point cost doesn't reflect points per order well enough. Most of the powerhouse heavy infantry have visors or some other special rule, so maybe that is all they need.

The Dark Project posted:Hey guys, I am making a Brotherhood of Nod themed Ariadna force for Infinity. I'll likely be playing Merovingian Sectorial. Anyone got any good themes on what themed terrain I should make? I was thinking of going for brutalist architecture with lots of concrete, so perhaps more city-styled terrain? Or bunkers out in an alpine kind of area perhaps? Merovingians get Multiterrain on a lot of units, but drat if that kind of stuff never shows up on the tabletop. Thoughts? This sound awesome. It seems to me that pink foam and plaster patching would work wonderfully for brutalist architecture. dexefiend fucked around with this message at 15:08 on Aug 5, 2014 |

I think they are trying to encourage the Infantry + Tanks approach. Tags are there to do the assaulting of defended positions, and infantry need to be deployed to protect their flanks and such. As opposed to a Cutter/Avatar/Achilles just stomping up and going to town solo. They still can. But it will prolly be in turn three after two turns of maneuvering their support into position.

How does Tohaa deal with Swiss Guard? Even after burning his TO off, I couldn't kill him with him sitting at armor eight. He also had really good BTS, so my viral weapons didn't offer any advantage. Edit: I'm also kind of pissed that they didn't remove the stupid fire weakness with the new rules, and instead added water pokemon. dexefiend fucked around with this message at 21:08 on May 30, 2015 |

It looks like it is nine miniatures, plus some terrain and a condensed rulebook. That is more than a starter. All this Greek news also could make it cheaper. 89.95€ is about $99.23 at the moment. Edit: also it includes one bike and two big ol' werewolves, which would be more expensive than even heavy infantry models.
