a+ thread. a+ thread title. I've used that as my team name one time too many. The problem is I always miss drafting Big Buff when I pick that name.

I'm in two serious leagues, both of the 100+ fee variety keeper leagues. One of them is full keeper and tons of cats, one of them is partial with just points. Both are salary cap leagues. I don't have too much to share but FUUUUCK the cap. Literally every person in my full keeper league is over the cap. Guys who put up 60+ pts are available for free because nobody has the space, and guys who put up 70+ are about to become available.

Players making less than a million and playing in an NHL top 6 are suddenly absolute gold.

I am pretty sure LOLHL is coming back, at least, that's what whatever his name is said back in January.

I am more interested in the HHL, because I am really hoping that a full season of Crosby and Tavares, for a relatively low price, can crush this league.

Yeah you're gonna be tough. Still mad Genki got Karlsson for like $60 on waivers.

I've got Tay-Tay keepered again but I honestly have no idea who to pick otherwise. Maybe Pavelec for a guaranteed goalie with the Central being so dogshit and I dunno McDonagh again?

Is your friend coming back since the bastard won the loving league last time?

ALSO we need to decide limiting (or not) how long a player can be kept. We talked about it towards the end of last year but there was no consensus.

I remember doing the LOL hockey league a couple years back and loving it - the C C C C, LW LW LW LW, RW RW RW RW dynamic was really cool.

Would definitely be interested in joining if that started up again.

I am thinking of keeping Crosby, Tavares, and...I'm not sure. Zibanjed? B. Schenn? Reimer? Markstrom? Brassard? I am leaning towards Schenn. That Tarasenko/Landeskog deal bit me in the rear end (for Zetterberg/Sharp, just in case anyone was wondering), seeing that I wasn't lucky enough to win the league.

If I were you, I'd keep Hall (obvs), JVR (he's cheap), and McDonagh (he's cheaper). I wouldn't keep Pavelec, cuz you can probably get him for insanely cheap.

And, I am pretty sure my friend is coming back. I'll text him.

Everyone put in 20 bucks and then we did a 2 part draft in IRC over 2 nights where about 20 people, if I'm not mistaken, picked one position player from every team. It was a simple pool that went solely on points. It was pretty funny overall because you could get into or fall out of the money based on a 4th liner getting a couple extra assists, although Mennoknight ran away with it. God did you win last year I can't remember. I bet if you didn't you woulda won with that king's ransom I offered you for Rask.

Anyway, I set my keepers in HHL and rejoined LSL. I want to also join a smaller draft league without having to draft and entire team, so if someone outside of T-bone sets up a league with 12~ people I'll totally join that.

Would it work if after year 3 you just jump the price to league average + 10-30? That seems like a fair compromise. That way your super elite players will be good value, just not an absurd price.

LOLHL is back after one year in hiatus! Last year I promised everyone who registered before cancellation an invite for this year but I'm an idiot and lost the list of managers. I've asked everybody to send me an email, so far only 3 people did. So anybody who registered last year and wants to be back please reply my last league email before I cancelled the season last year, or send me an email to waxluthor AT gmail.com with "LOLHL" in the subject line.

I won't have access to a computer between Sept 6 and Sept 13, I will send out invites on the 14th and open up the registration if there are spots available.

The draft is set on Sunday Sept 22 @ 7:00pm. All stats remain the same except I removed "Saves" to make goalies a little bit less game-changing.

The best part is that guys like Derek Dorsett won me that pool, and I mean won it by a landslide. I legitimately did a lot of research and had spreadsheets and poo poo, and it paid off.

Know what? I can probably run this again this year. My kids sleep. I'll start a thread. $20 should do it hey? Can someone with archives copy and paste and PM me the rules and anything else pertinent from that thread?
