NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT As new head of the Something Awful Athletic Council, I'd like to personally welcome you to the Goonweight Grand Prix, where we determine who is best at picking fight outcomes, and then send them a sweet plastic replica belt. A few days before every card, I'll post the fights on the main card with a FORM and a SPREADSHEET. Fill out the form (or post you picks in the thread), and then check the spreadsheet to make sure your picks are in there correctly. When the card is over and I sober up, I'll calculate the results and post standings, along with a link to the DATABASE that maths everything out. If you're really worried about your picks getting in, just post them in the thread and I'll update it if necessary. Q: I can't access the spreadsheet to view my results! Do I have to log in? A: No, I probably just forgot to share the spreadsheet. Mention it in thread and I'll fix it as soon as possible. Q: What's RNG stand for? A: Random Number Generator. I just assign numbers to all the possible results and then have random.org spew out numbers with hilarious results. Q: POTN? What happened to KOTN and SOTN? I was the inaugural champ, while Intel & Sebastian* and I came up with the idea of the tourney. Tangy OFFICIALLY won the first contest, at the time we (Intel & Sebastian and i) didn't know if it was going to be a card by card situation or a series of cards. Tangy then chose to keep the contest going. So yes I was the starting champ, Tangy won the first card, so hes always been the first winner. I&S also did recaps with photos and handed out various rewards to goons. What a crazy time in our young fake sport! Also someone else did the math and form work, but the name escapes me. I go in the service tomorrow man, I thought I was passing this on to someone who knew our history! P.S this all started because I bought the Pride and UFC belts at toys r us for 10$ as a novelty gift for my friend, and he never picked it up. So I asked what I should do with it and a blazed I&S came up with the idea in the main UFC thread. So I shipped it off first and put a sticker on it too. And now it's all over the place!
