With Walter White now being Walter Blanco, they can't keep the Walt Whitman initials as a way of Hank finding out. I'd be curious how they tweak that; is there a famous Mexican poet with initials WB?
To Warner Brothers, My Star, My Perfect Silence.

Oh God, I just realized how funny/horrifying it would be if they did a "faces of meth"-style slow decay of Wendy over the length of the series.
I really want to see a pre-meth Wendy now!

I was just thinking back to when Vince mentioned that they planned to kill off Jesse in season 1. Since the show's over, has he talked about what his original plans were once Jesse was out of the picture?

Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. I haven't met a single person yet who has anything less than glowing to say about Gravity, and the critical praise seems to be about the same. Are you really calling it a mindless blockbuster movie because you saw a bunch of effects stuff in the trailer? This sounds like some real old man mad at newfangled things sour grapes bullshit right here.
I'm pretty sure his main point was that it has gently caress all to do with Breaking Bad.

Why on earth are we talking about it?

This is beautiful. Would anyone make an iPhone 5 version with some space at the top for the clock and a little at the bottom to balance it? Maybe I'll grab some free paint app and gently caress with it.
I'm not an iPhone user, but give me an idea of the image dimensions and padding you need at the top and bottom, and I'll sort you out.

Here's my lock screen for reference. A proportion that keeps it mostly out of the way of the clock and slide to unlock stuff would probably be ideal. Is that enough information? Thank you so much for even taking a look at it.

It's all zoomed in and weird looking unless I go into accessibility and turn off the motion effects. My thought was to make the wallpaper have 4 quadrants with each of the colors in the image rather than white space. The palette goes with ios 7's design themes pretty well. I'm loving with it in paintbrush although I know the results are primitive.

the way it looks on the lock screen http://imgur.com/awksf08
I need to remove those lines on the side and get the blend right on the big blocks of color I added.
I forgot that they added parallax scrolling to iOS7 - I'm firmly an Android user :)

Him being totally disconnected with the world would be one. He doesn't seem to have any idea of the nature of the men he's working with, a sweet clueless dude with his head in the clouds.
I'm not so sure; he just seemed to be much better at separating his personal and professional life than Walt was - though that was made easier by the fact that he didn't seem to have any close family or friends (at least none shown).

Vince puts the "it was all a dream" theory to rest once and for all. Also, he points out an X-Files reference that I hadn't notice before.
For those of us at work without sound; what X-Files reference?

I liked his character overall. He was just an enforcer, he good at his job, took a great deal of pride in it, and he did it to try and support his family - in many ways he was an analogy of Walt, but he was more hardened and controlled by his experiences. He never lashed out in panic when things went wrong, he respected Gus' professional manner of running his business, and accepted that terrible things had to be done in following a criminal lifestyle. He never tried to justify it as doing the 'right thing', unlike Walt who would try to justify his terrible acts within the limits of standard morality, and try to deny that he was slipping away into darkness. Mike provided a real contrast to Walt's character through how differently he handled his life, despite their similarities.

That was amazing. There were five of us that got together for a finale party. As the closing credits rolled, it was just completely silent in the room. Nobody said a word until about ten minutes later, during the first commercial break of Talking Bad. It really was a cool experience.

And once we started talking, we all agreed that Chris Hardwick seriously killed the mood. "WALTER WHITE IS DEAD! JESSE PINKMAN IS FREE! BREAKING BAD IS OVER! THIS IS TALKING BAD!!!"
One of the reasons I never bother to watch the after-show discussion pieces for anything I remotely enjoy. They always seem more keen on just keeping post-show viewing figures than actually discussing anything that adds to the show.

What the hell is this? Doing a crossword faster than Walt isn't relevant to anything at all. Mostly because it's a just a crossword puzzle. And who said anything so damning of her that you had to drag out the old "Skyler's a Bitch" thing from its peaceful retirement?
I think if the crossword puzzle thing were to mean anything, it would be to provide a point of contrast about how they viewed their relationship and lives as so special to begin with (albeit likely through rose tinted glasses, as they were viewing it from a point of nostalgia); they were holding even the most simple things in their relationship with high regard, appreciation, and romance.

This turned towards a fairly normal and humdrum atmosphere later on, which we were at when the show began, and then more dramatic, stressful and eventually antagonistic and hateful as the show progressed.

If it even meant anything, it was just part of another demonstration of change; the theme that the entire show revolved around.
