I have a new neighbor. Heard he comes from far away

With Audiosurf 2 now hitting Steam's Early Access, I thought I'd return an old ADTRW favorite, the ADTRW Audiosurf Jam!

THE GAME

Audiosurf is a semi-proceduraly generated puzzle game that scans any MP3 song you input into it, and creates a level for you to play based on the song's beat, tempo, and intensity.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXP9VmQilsY
The goal is to combine same-colored blocks on the play grid for points, which you will be graded on once the song ends. Be careful, though, as filling up your grid before you make a combination of 3 blocks will cause it to completely empty, and render you unable to pick up any blocks for a short period of time. Depending on the ship you use, you'll have different abilities to make this easier, such as pushing blocks into other lanes, erasing unwanted blocks, or simply making it so there are only 2 kinds of blocks in the song.

THE PREMISE

The real kicker is the online leaderboards, which allows you to compare your performance to everyone else who played that same song (or at least every song that shares the same title and artist metatags).

So in order to compare all of ADTRW's block-matching abilities, I've compiled several packs of anime songs (both past and present) with which to challenge each other! I've gone through the trouble of adding the tag [ADTRW] to each song's title, so we don't have to worry about the general public getting in our way.

I'll also occasionally add in themed bonus packs.

THE SONGS

I got permission from Zorak to upload these. Go nuts!

Main Packs:

1) ADTRW Audiosurf Pack 1 (Save Fallen Angel for last )
2) ADTRW Ausiosurf Pack 2
3) (Coming soon!)

Bonus Packs:

1) ADTRW Audiosurf ~BAKA GAIJIN~ Pack

Thread Packs:

1) Thuguu Pack by SealHammer

THREAD PARTICIPATION

If you have Audiosurf, all you have to do is download and play! If you want to show off your anime music tastes and challenge everyone else, feel free to upload your own songs so I can add them to the OP. If you'd like to make a video of yourself playing these, even better!
Audiosurf also supports certain title tags that impact how the level is generated. Here is a full list.

LINKS AND OTHER GAMES

Audiosurf on Steam
Audiosurf 2 on Steam Early Access (currently unfinished, with no leaderboard)

Maybe puzzles aren't your thing. That's cool. There's several other games you can play if you still want to enjoy your music in exciting ways. None of these have leaderboards, so make sure to take a screenshot of your scores after each song.

Beat Hazard on Steam A twin-stick shooter that changes your weapon's strength, enemy placement, and power-up appearance based on the song.
1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby) on Steam Early Access (currently unfinished) A futuristic sky-diving/base-jumping simulator that changes building/block placements based on the song. If you bought and played this a few years ago and were unimpressed, give it another go. They've made many improvements to make the game more playable and fun.

Bad Maki! No more fantasizing about guys.

I didn't like Audiosurf when I tried it, but I'm game for Beat Hazard. I'll give the a download, and see how I do.

EDIT: The ~BAKA GAIJIN~ Pack link doesn't want to work for me.

Oh man, how long has it been since the first one now? Anyway, I'll definitely run through some of these at least, should be fun.

E: Turns out not playing for years and having slight wrist issues isn't entirely conducive to this...I might get some decent scores as long as I don't ever try Mono again at least (ouch).

Tagging the streets and humming the bassline.

So, if I wanted to do this in Audiosurf 2 since I just got it, would I have to go Mono and then take screenshots of that afterwards, or am I free to play Wakeboard?

Whichever you think would be more impressive.

Holy crap I'm so out of practice. If this is popular enough that you release another pack, could I suggest including the Utena opening? It's super fun.

I'm so down for an excuse to play more Audiosurf, presumably with music I haven't played before. This is gonna be fun.

It's weird, because I noticed it in my test-run, but I then double-checked the properties and it's in the details and Audiosurf just doesn't see it. I decided to just ignore it and look at the friends leaderboard.

Bad Maki! No more fantasizing about guys.

I went ahead and tried a few songs in Beat Hazard. I think I'm going to give them a few more tries before I share my scores to shake off the rust, but I recorded my blind playthrough of Real World. I plan on recording later attempts, so I'll try to find better encoding settings that don't make it look so lovely.

I ended up getting 18,737,664 on Suicidal.

Okay, Fallen Angel was one of the craziest rides I've ever had in Audiosurf, and I'm only into the second song. Bring on the rest.

EDIT: Wait, I didn't do it last like I was supposed to. I am so ashamed.

Not to be outdone by a paltry 200 points, I went back to Sono chi no sadame and blasted you by 1k. You're no match for me (on this song)!

You can have the others, though. Especially Fallen Angel. A hundred times gently caress that on ironmode.

I've got another pack all lined up, but I'm waiting until tomorrow to have it coincide with ~something~.

I have a sort of limited knowledge/taste in music, though, guys. If you don't want to make your own packs, remember to make suggestions for whatever you want to see/hear!

Endorph posted:

It's cool for other people to make packs? Because I've got a few songs that'd be fun. Did Zorak give you any limits on what songs could/couldn't be included?

He didn't place any limits on me, even though I wasn't sure if the gaijin pack was kosher.

Empty Movement has got the 10th Anniversary "Disc X" Utena OST up - club remixes, including Rondo Revolution (which is actually a mix of all three OP/EDs with a bit of 'At Times, Love is' thrown in as well, iirc). It's...interesting.

Nothing purchasable easily in the US (CD or MP3) except for poo poo in anime OP/EDs because who cares.

Well, when I get around to playing a few of these songs (which'll be pretty soon), I'll be using the first Audiosurf. Sadly, that does mean quite a number of goons have already stolen the high scores, but eh, I'll hang around the bottom for a while (well, except on Magia, where I'm not getting anywhere close to those scores!).
