Ha! Well played sir. Anyone have a link to a Family Circus archive? I'd like to get my hands dirty.

Save Target As posted:Ha! Well played sir. The official site has some from each decade all the way back to the 60s, although it is certainly not an archive. Just click the files link at the top. This parody site has a bunch of comics sans text and the links to each have descriptions of the images.

When I was in High School, in 2000 I think, my state began doing some initial experiments with requiring students to pass an exam in order to graduate. The test exam had a probability question that ended with "What is the Matrix?" I'm sure that the test graders thought the first clever answer to that question was funny, but I'm guessing they had to read THOUSANDS of "The answer is out there, and it's looking for you, and it will find you if you want it to."

Save Target As posted:Ha! Well played sir. The Seattle PI archive only goes back a month, but it's there. You can also pay for access at DailyINK, which goes back two years. @Gooncomics on Twitter also posts the public link for a bunch of DailyINK comics (including Family Circus) each day, but it's a bit of a pain to go back through because it's Twitter.

I am also wondering if this thread's premise was a bit too narrow. While The Matrix and The Family Circus are both great choices, I don't see why it can't be "Replace lines from comic strips with lines from movies". Which some people are already doing...
