How hard would it be to do a D series swap, or even an EK1? A lot more power and reliability, either way.

It's possible but difficult.

Apparently the most common and easiest swap for these things is to drop in a motor from an early Accord, which gives a significant power boost and goes in without too much hassle.

Because if so, you're in luck. That's about the only place you'd find them. Those cars caught on there a lot harder than anyone else.
