I'm just glad you guys like 'em. I did find it humorous that the free "Evil Genius" font meshed so well with Asay's lettering, though. It was just a little too perfect to pass up.

Plutonis posted:gently caress I can't even try and enter the contest after this. I feel it's almost a relief. You don't have to stress over getting the top entry. Just post one that makes you laugh. I'll probably submit because of that fact. There is nothing I can do at this point to get close to Hungry Mouth's entries. However, I can probably still give someone a decent chuckle with some silly juxtaposed Chuck Asay panels, and that's good enough for me.

Would you mind linking me to the source of the top image? I've seen a few of Asay's post-DADT repeal cartoons, but I'm curious about what he thought would happen after the restriction was just relaxed.

It's silly to think that if we just didn't talk about it then it wouldn't exist. That's not really the point he's trying to make though, in the top panel they've RUMBLED THE GAYS and they're gonna be rightfully punished for their deviance. In the bottom one it's harder to force 'suspected gays' out of the military so everyone's minding their own business oh no It's not really the 'don't ask, don't tell' part he likes, it's the licence to punish gay people wherever they're uncovered

Asay's cartoons were loving magical, I'm tellin' ya.
