watching that again, I'm pretty sure Alejandro on the phone was actually voiced by Dan Harmon, which makes Rick's ranting about compromise even funnier given Dan's own reputation for being difficult to work with.

I'm sure that whole running gag was poking fun at Harmon's frequent battles with whoever's in charge of what he's writing. "It's kinda my baby."

I gotta say the gear people are one of my favorite designs on the show. They really capture the look and feel of some 80's toy extended out to a whole civilization.

There was specifically a He-Man guy who worked like this, Roboto. Transparent body with a bunch of plastic gears inside. Pretty sure that was the basis.

Get Schwifty was a nice break from the sheer darkness of the season thusfar- sure some planets got destroyed, but it was more silly than anything.
