I know it's cliché at this point to make fun of the whole "if global warming, why cold?" thing but "if global warming, why Antarctic exist?" is a whooollle new level of dumb.

Guys what we really need to worry about is the organization of various criminal elements inhabiting the ruined flooded city of New York- now we are establishing a task force of one guy with an eyepatch to fix things in there but it's going to cost approximately one billion dollars to pull off so we're going to have to cut Medicaid again. The price of Freedom.

He worked out another budget deal that basically gave the GOP everything they wanted by changing nothing and avoiding the embarrassment of appearing completely intractable on any and all legislation and they still had a problem with it. Also it's been said before but jesus that is a terrible caricature- he didn't even nail the eyes.

Don't think I agree with whatever the cartoon is trying to say but that is one rad skeletonwraith. For whatever reason, even with all the dumpster-baby-killing-Obamas and Benghazi gravestones, nothing makes me madder than this light bulb thing. It's just... so dumb, my god. poo poo, better not displease the ghost of Edison! Hell, if that bastard was alive today you can bet your sweet rear end that the canny jerk would be trying to profit off of CFLs and would literally hold a press conference where he threw an incandescent light bulb in the garbage on stage.

Faithless opinions obviously - he'd have a completely different cartoon if this had all blown up under Bush - but it's using a well-known line in a clever way with a coherent visual metaphor. It's not good, but at least it's more inspired than the moronic crap he usually cranks out. "Giant Eyeball Watching You All" is a bit more high-minded than Branco usually gets. Maybe he's been secretly Skyping with Dees or something.
