Actually, the canon overlord can be as corrupt as 80%, there are just two Evil options you can't pick. One of them I refuse to pick anyway, and the other I refuse to not pick, so it balances out.

I always pick Rose because Browns and Blues tend to be like 70% of my party and thus I'd upgrade them. Plus I like her better.

Even when I played friendlord I killed elves because gently caress elves.
