Grimey Drawer
Lydia "Sprite" Barnes

There are two things that Lyds has learned since signing on for training with HIREUS. More than two, but two that stand out in particular. First, no suggesting the receptionist looks kind of like Tilda Swinton. She(?) doesn't like that. At all. Two, learned as an annoyed penumbra of the first, the Company's communications equipment are not to be used as transportation without permission. Three. The third being that asking about asking for permission gets you that soul-stare again.

With those nuggets of knowledge in mind, Sprite does what she's been doing the last few weeks: skipping across the phone network to a pay-phone around the corner from HIREUS central and flying the rest of the way. She touches down at the door and lets herself in the old-fashioned way, having learned a fourth thing: that sometimes, despite her best efforts, she can't get a bag lunch to go out of phase with the rest of her. It's probably some bistromathematic thing she hasn't quite grasped yet.

She's here, though! She's here and she's half walking, half gliding across the floor, leaving a fading trail of particle effects behind her, mostly purple against a haze of fuchsia, where her faintly luminous form is mostly a hot pink with darker lava-lamp shapes drifting within. The energetic energy being plops herself down in a chair and waves to those assembled.

"Hi! Guess this means I'm not late this time!" she laughs, fishing a can of Red Bull and a small bag of Doritos out of a crumpled brown paper bag. "I'm Lydia. Some people call me Sprite."

Powers

Aimbot
Ranged Attack	3 Total Cost	[3pp]
Description:
Ranged Attack Advantage flavored as a Power. Can be Nullified, but no other
mechanical changes.
Sprite has never touched a gun (a tangible one, at least), save for the ones
manifested by her hard-light projections. Regardless, she has an amazing
facility with them-- one that goes beyond her already astonishing dexterity.
Opponents and metahuman researchers alike suspect that she may be cheating.

Electronic Interrogation
Comprehend 2 Total Cost	[4pp]
Cost/Rank	2
Action None Range Personal
Duration	Permanent Base Cost	4
Extras None
Description:
By focusing on the flow and patterns of energy in electronic devices, Sprite can
interrogate their perceptions, programming and what storage they might have
onboard. Despite her resemblance to things TRON, she does not anthropomorphize
hardware or software that isn't already designed that way.

Flight
Movement 2 Total Cost	[5pp]
Cost/Rank	2
Action Free Range Personal
Duration	Sustained	Base Cost	4
Extras Feature (1)
Description:
By adhering herself to the informational substrate of the universe, Sprite can
fly! This effect causes a degree of distortion in her wake, leaving streams of
luminosity behind her. She can manifest holographic thruster pods or wings as
well, depending on mood, but they have no tangible effect on locomotion.

+SkyTweeting
Feature of Flight
Description:
Sprite can leave persistent streaks of light behind herself as she flies; by
modulating output as she steers, she can even draw simple diagrams or write
letters. Sure her messages start to fade before she hits 140 characters, and she
gets dizzy trying to write hash marks and at-symbols, but who uses the term
'skywriting' these days?

Hard-Light Constructs
Create 8 Total Cost	[19pp]
Cost/Rank	2
Action Standard	Range Ranged
Duration	Sustained Base Cost	16
Extras Precise (1), AE: Garbage In, Garbage Out (1), AE: Voxel Blasters
(1)
Constructs have a maximum of 8 Toughness and volume of 250 cubic feet, equal
to Rank on the Measurement table.
Description:
Sprite's most visually impressive power is the ability to create objects out of
'hard light' force fields. These constructs are obviously artificial, resembling
early CGI renders with luminous detailing and highlights. Potentially very
versatile, she currently uses it mainly for barriers and temporary furniture.

+Garbage In, Garbage Out
Nullify Electronics 8	Total Cost	[----]
Cost/Rank	2
Action Standard	Range Ranged
Duration	Instant Base Cost	16
Extras Precise (1), Simultaneous (+1/rank)
		AE of Hard-Light Constructs
Description:
Opposed check of Nullify vs. higher of target effect's rank or subject's
Will. Can selectively Nullify one, some, or all appropriate effects on
target.
Sprite momentarily injects random data into one or more of a target's electronic
systems, forcing a crash and reboot in delicate systems, and a round of error
correction in more hardened ones. Purely mechanical devices merely sneer.

+Voxel Blasters
Ranged Damage 8 Total Cost	[----]
Cost/Rank	2
Action Standard	Range Ranged
Duration	Instant Base Cost	16
Extras Precise (1)
		AE of Hard-Light Constructs
Description:
Sprite can create constructs that fire streams of high-energy, hard light
'voxels' that pack an impressive punch. Since retro styles are 'in' at the
moment, her guns tend to be hard-edged, polygonal things that emit 8-bit sound
effects as well.

Hard-Light Fields
Protection 6 Total Cost	[6pp]
Cost/Rank	1
Action Free Range Personal
Duration	Sustained	Base Cost	6
Extras: Sustained (+0/rank)
Description:
Sprite projects hard-light planes and plating around herself, in order to
deflect or absorb incoming attacks. Like her guns, they tend to be chunky,
polygonal affairs.

Noclip Mode
Movement (Permeate) 3	Total Cost	[6pp]
Cost/Rank	2
Action Free Range Personal
Duration	Sustained	Base Cost	6
Description:
Though she likens it to 'turning collision detection off', the mathematics
behind this ability are far more complex. With a bit of concentration, Sprite
can become translucent and phase through solid objects. The same can happen if
she's being particularly absent-minded too-- just ask her about the Red Bull
incident.
This effect usually takes a few seconds of preparation, hence it's of little use
against objects moving at a high relative velocity, like bullets.

Overclocking
Quickness 2 Total Cost	[1pp]
Cost/Rank	1/2
Action Free Range Personal
Duration	Sustained	Base Cost	1
Extras: Limited to Mental Tasks (-1/rank)
Determine time required for a Routine check on the Measurements table, and
reduce it by Rank steps. Roughly four times faster than normal.
Description:
No longer completely confined to traditional grey matter (or matter at all, for
that... matter), Sprite's mind operates markedly more efficiently and quickly
than before her accident. She's no better than before at explaining how
she reaches her results though, just faster at getting there.

Upload
Teleport 2 Total Cost	[4pp]
Cost/Rank	2
Action Special Range Rank + 8
Duration	Instant Base Cost	4
Extras: Accurate (+1/rank), Extended (+1/rank), Limited to Extended
(-1/rank), Medium (Data Hardlines) (-1/rank)
Description:
Take 2 Move actions to make an extended-range teleport. Dazed and vulnerable
for 1 round after arrival.
Distance is equal to Rank + 8 on the Measurements table; 4 miles (8
kilometers).
Sprite has the uncanny ability to convert herself into pure information and
transport herself through data carrier lines. According to her, copper feels
'warm', fiber feels 'smooth' and there's no discernible difference between
Monster cables and the store branded ones.

Wallhack!
Sensory 7 Total Cost	[7pp]
Cost/Rank	1
Action None Range Personal
Duration	Permanent	Base Cost	7
Description:
Consists of: Dark Vision (2), Vision Penetrates Concealment (4), and Radio
(1)
Partially adapted to perceiving the universe as a two-dimensional information
structure, as well as a three-dimensional projection, Sprite can effectively see
in the dark and through walls. In accordance with her gimmicky naming scheme,
she calls this 'wallhacking' and 'seeing in fullbright'.
Similarly, she can perceive and understand radio and television broadcasts, but
she has yet to come up with a catchy term for it.

                                                [55pp]

Complications
It's Evolution, Baby!: Okay, so it's technically not evolution, but
Sprite is in the process of becoming something else, a cosmic being
capable of perceiving and interacting with the Universe on its most fundamental
levels, and being really annoying to quantum physicists. As such, she can look
forward to weird fluctuations in her perceptions and powers, analogous to
growing pains. There's also the possibility of visits from similarly invested
beings or quantum physicists with chips on their shoulders... who may be
disappointed to discover that their new sibling/potential mate/prize specimen is
a slacking undergrad who conceptualizes her gifts in terms of simple electronic
amusements.

Dr. Sanders: No, it isn't like that. Even before her Origin, Dr.
Sanders thought Lydia had a remarkable talent for physics work, despite her
school work being somewhat... spotty. They're as close to friends as a young
undergrad and a professor can be without triggering rumours of impropriety.
Lydia figures she owes him big-time, and feels guilty for the explosion that
caused her Origin, though she was apparently not the cause.
Being a local expert on high-energy and exotic physics makes Dr. Sanders a
likely target for kidnapping for villains with particularly spectacular plans.

It's a Living: Lyds is, first and foremost, a student. The heroing thing
might work out to something permanent later, and of course she's going to
fetch kitties from trees even when she's off duty, but she's not keen on taking
her work home with her. That's her homework, gaming and drinking time-- and
besides, vigilantism doesn't pay. Not steadily, anyway. Being dragged into
extracurriculars is a whole other matter.

Lydia fishes around in her lunch bag and pulls out a wax paper wrapped... wrap. Probably vegetarian, from the crunch that accompanies her first bite. Not that it balances the rest of her meal.

She smiles at Katrina, noting the other girl's colorful lunch. "See you found a loophole. Does it let you get away with goldfish crackers too?" Mmm, goldfish. She'll have to put those on the grocery list. She briefly debates adding chicken noodle soup too, because while it's always seemed like their natural habitat, they lose something when they get soggy.

Hm? Sprite raises her brows at the other Kat, sending yellowish streaks spalling off toward her hairline. "I don't know, exactly. It's mostly unconscious. I'm kind of um... in... flux. Inside. Weird exotic energy shining through like white light through a prism. Non-toxic! They vetted me before I left the hospital. When I got there, actually. Doctors get whiny about those big, heavy oops-suits." She smiles, raising a thoroughly non-toxic hand.

"I've seen other people filling intake forms out, so if they're running all of us through at once... two or three, maybe? Don't know how many got scared off by the secretary," Sprite says to Tim, before glancing over her shoulder at the desk across the way. Speak of the devil, and such. She looks back, noting the way El Mago is trying not to stare at the gorilla guy. It's usually an elephant in the room, isn't it?

Estoc distracts her from trying not to watch the luchador trying not to stare at the gorilla. "My big thing is hard energy projection, so like force fields and things. I'm safer than I look."

"Jalapeno? Lucky! Every time I'm at the grocery store, they're out! Sure they've got pizza flavored ones, but the only pizza-flavored thing that actually tastes like pizza is pizza," Lydia says to Katrina before other people start to show up. She knew there would be a few more.

To the other Kat she says, "Heat? High. Very high. We've done some testing in the lab, and the wattage one of my fields can take is..." she trails off and shrugs as an argument brews. Talking through those is even more obnoxious than the things themselves.

Without missing a beat, Lydia waves to Roy, the newest arrival. Shakes hands, even. "Lydia. Sprite, if I'm... working... here."

And on the topic of Julie... "Mind control happens often enough that it's lumped in with with temporary insanity. You aren't in proper control of your faculties, you're not responsible for what happened. Legally. And you might get sent to hospital for observation to make sure Professor Possessor hasn't left any surprises."

"...I did some reading after Cleveland. Mostly because I wanted to know why somebody chose Cleveland. This is a place where the river catches fire. It's Signs levels of bad planning."

"Molly!" Lydia cheers lightly, beaming at the little girl. Forget the display cases of costumes, action figures and stuffy dolls, Molly is totally the most adorbs thing in the office. She's obviously on business though, carrying those folders, so Lydia sits on an urge to scoop the tyke up or ruffle the ears on her cute kitty hat.

"Oh no, poor kitty!" she croons, frowning pensively at the sad drawing. The others get a cursory glance, and Molly gets a smile and a nod when it comes out that she did the diagrams all by herself.

Lydia interjects as discussion begins. "Molly just said that we need to do them all simultaneously so, unless someone can fold time, that means splitting up." She glances at the folders again and pouts. "I'd like to help the kitty out of the tree, but if Doctor Death is all about robots then I should help with that. I can crash electronics at a distance."

"Yeeeaaaah, let's consider the cat innocent until proven maniacal. If the tree's really an Ent or something, like in the Lord of the Rings, and kitty's coercing it to do something... that's a different story." Lydia nods slowly in agreement with herself. "Anyway, I can fly, and I could make a ramp or set of stairs for the cat to climb down, but Mach flies better and... what I said before about robots."

After glancing at the ceiling for a second, Lydia scowls. "I hate it when they take generic names like that, and 'doctor' and 'death' are two of the most popular." She leans down and smiles at the crew's little handler. "Molly? Do you know if this Doctor Death does stuff with robots, or were you using your imagination to help you draw him?" she asks.

Looking up, she explains, "If he isn't electronics-themed, I'm probably best at the bank robbery. My geometries can stop small arms fire easily."

Everyone's set! Awesome! Sprite pulls her smartphone out as Molly hands the dossier over to Tim, and pops open a map app.

"I can fly, but not really that fast," she tells Tim, and shakes her head. "What's the address? I'm faster teleporting, but I have to take data-- phone lines. It'd be awkward if they ever got rid of the pay phones here in town."

Lydia isn't sure how she does it, exactly. It isn't a matter of the copper or fiber being a single, continuous medium, because neither are, and it doesn't have anything to do with cable length either. A few miles as the crow flies might have several multiples in phone line between points A and B. And even if any of that explained things, there's the matter of how she gets the phone to go off the hook from the inside. She tries not to think about it too much.

There's a payphone around the corner from the bank, and Molly is ready to hang up the phone here for her once she's gone. Sprite stares down the rosette pattern on the mouthpiece for a few seconds and

there is a sensation of speed, like being a fluid forced down a dark, warm pipe

then a bright flash as she returns to a much less constrained subset of three dimensions and falls out of the phone shelter.

"Thanks," Sprite says, taking Estoc's hand and hoisting herself up. "It's not quite one-dimensional in there, but it's close enough. Coming back out is disorienting. Like someone turning the lights on when you've got them turned off for a reason."

She pauses. He's right. There's no spinny lights, no gunfire or shouting.

"Could be someone pulling a fast one. Gimme a second."

Opening her senses wider than usual, Sprite rotates in a slow circle, looking and listening for anything amiss.

Aaand... hm. Lydia stops and frowns.

"Weird. There's nothing on the police band, and nothing obvious going on inside that I can see." She taps a temple. "Wallhacking sight. Fortunately won't get me VAC banned in real life."

"Maybe it's an old-fashioned robbery, or someone's using mind control." She thinks. "I wonder if they have, like, two panic buttons. One for regular robbers, one for super-powered ones. 'Cause it's kind of funny we'd get a call and the cops wouldn't get boo."

Not wanting to be left out, Sprite squirts up into the air, across the street, and over to catch up with Tim and Jeffrey. Or Guerrilla Gorilla and Estoc. However they want to be called on assignment.

"Nothing around, nothing up there..." she guesses the latter part. "One direction we haven't tried. Well, at least three, but if they can travel ana or kata then we're probably out of our league!"

She points down, pertly, for emphasis.

Oh, whoops! She should have-- wait. Swords? Would that even work?

"Can you summon prybars?" Lydia manages to ask Estoc in the moments before the sewer dude comes running down the street.

While the dude tries to talk Estoc down, and he counters with some talk like something out of Warcraft (and a really pretty array of swords around the manhole-- Sprite makes a note to maybe hook him up with some modders who'd love to have some cool, unique designs like those to work from), she looks at Tim, down through the ground to spot where the maintenance tunnels are, and quietly phases through the tarmac.

Lydia takes a breath as her head pops out of the ground-cum-ceiling. She makes a face. Sewers: Mustier than the library stacks at best, and that's just in the summer when there isn't all kinds of gross falling in through the street grates. They're even bigger than she'd been told, so it isn't much of a surprise when she spots the hole far down on the wall, but couldn't from above; peering through solid matter can produce weird interference patterns, more haze than shadow.

But still! There's a hole that obviously shouldn't be there. Sprite starts coming back up through the ground as more maintenance guys come over to back their buddy up. She pops out just in time for Tim to drop the hammer on a manhole cover.

"Hey guys! There's--"

*CLANG*

Fuchsia ripples spread in sympathy across Sprite's skin, canceling as they collide against one another. She takes a moment before piping up again.

"--There's a big hole going straight toward the Fist National Back, that doesn't look like it's meant to be there. And. Um. Could we have asked these guys if they had a big hole we could borrow to get down with?"

She pauses another quarter beat.

"Not judging! Just sometimes forget what it's like having to respect solidity."

"Guys?"

Whoosh! A thousand pounds of Silverback (a thousand pounds? Kind of a stereotypical guess, isn't it? Need to remember to be more sensitive) vanishes through the vastly enlarged hole.

"Guys," Lydia sighs to herself, covering her forehead as Estoc salutes the construction workers and follows suit.

"So, uh, guys!" Sprite addresses the rather burly fellows, waving uncertainly. She smiles too, as pinprick supernovae in orange and yellow blossom and fade across her body. "Like I was saying, somebody's punched a really big hole in the side of the sewer-- which isn't your fault. And now there's this one-- which isn't, either."

"But before you get too angry at us, we were told there was a robbery going on-- so there's probably like armed goons down there, and they'd be worse than us if you tripped over them-- and..."

Sprite makes a sweeping gesture at the ground.

"...Fixing all these unscheduled holes probably counts for overtime pay, right?"

"If it helps any, we're probably going to get raked over the coals when we get back to the office. We're just temps. But!" It's like-- actually, it's exactly like one of those cartoons, where two groups of people go around a corner and literally bounce off of one another. Owing to her mastery of things on the airwaves and her faster-than-fast thought processes, Sprite recognizes her group's opponents in slapstick as the nefarious burglars they are, and not some unfortunate LARPers who took a wrong turn at the university steam tunnels. She also has enough time to encase herself in Barbie-pink plating-- a suit of armor rather more techy in styling than Estoc's traditional plate, actually quite close to that of a certain Master Chief, with minor, please-don't-sue variations.

Oh, and one forearm's encased in a football-shaped mass with a brightly glowing aperture in front of where her fist probably still is.

A bolt of energy, rather a blot in the shape of a ragged-edged cube, flies forth from the muzzle of her arm gun with a low-fi electronic explosion noise, toward one of the tortoises.

Bringing the Hard-Light Fields up as a Free Action, bumping Sprite's Toughness to 8.
Using the Voxel Blasters to shoot one of the baddies, +8 to hit, 8 ranged damage.

Since she styles herself a big FPS player in and out of her superheroic identity, I applied that gimmick to her combat stats: her ranged defense (dodge) is maxed out, but her melee defense (parry) is a whopping zero. She still has a high Toughness to soak damage with, and unless she can put some distance between herself and the tortoises I'm going to have to cross my fingers and hope that's enough.

A second passes as Lydia squints into the murk, then another as she expands her senses in directions that are very hard to draw on a blackboard. "Particle effects," she sighs, shaking her head just slightly as Ludovico's form resolves for her in the gloomy distance. Bending light or messing with her visual cortex directly would have been much more difficult for her to work around.

Then she lets rip a string of bright pulses that tear through the murk like headlights through coastal fog.

Vision Penetrates Concealment (4 pp)

M&M has a collection of sensory powers that... well, 'comprehensive' might be a polite term, but I tend toward 'overwhelming'. Case in point, the two different Concealment-defeating powers, one of which breaks down into specializations versus different Concealment-power flavors, and the other which functions like traditional X-ray vision. The whole section asks for a couple of read-throughs.
I checked with Robo, and she's ruled that Sprite's X-ray-like vision penetrates the smoke. Silverback's hearing should cut through it too, since it was bought up to Accurate and the smoke device doesn't have an auditory component.

Argh! She'd have sworn Mach had Ludovico there for a second, but he just keeps going!

"Stop bunnyhopping, you noob!" Lydia shouts over the sound of solid energy pellets winging their way toward where the tortoise is most likely to land.

"They'll be okay. Bank teams usually bring in enough to afford Retcon1."

Sprite points at the bag. "That's probably evidence. Are we supposed to take that back to the office, or back to the bank and say 'I think this fell out of a hole in the vault'?"

Then, looking to Julie, she asks, "What d'we need a radio for?"

1Retcon, formerly Pyrrhic, is an insurance agency specializing in the extreme threats to life and limb that tends to follow active superbeings. In the event of catastrophe, their staff of genies, temporal nobility, and negotiably ethical physicists make small elisions to the client's time stream, eliminating the effect of the event without preventing the event in the larger context. This tends to leave the client no further ahead than when they started, or worse in the case of lairs destroyed in the interim and the like.

And that's before Retcon's bill arrives.

"Yeah. You're probably right," Sprite nods to Estoc.

The gently glowing girl looks around, slowly rotating in midair. Tim's got the thieves, Jeff's got the bags of loot, that leaves... not much.

"I'll go with to talk to the road crew, since I talked to them before," she decides.

"You got a kitty?!" Lydia asks Julie, voice hopping up half an octave as the faintly glowing woman's somewhat more brightly glowing eyes spark even brighter. A shoal of orange wriggles across her features. "That's awesome! You've gotta take pictures."

Tim and Kat mention their own gifts at talking with other sorts of animals or maybe with rocks. She makes a face, imagining the furor among the zoo animals at a gorilla who comes and goes as he pleases, and the inevitable hidebound zookeeper hell-bent on getting a new exhibit.

"I talk to machines. It's kind of like how they do it on Star Trek, only I think it. Just running commands, not really conversations. So glad they got rid of that paperclip in the word processor. That thing was creepy."

"It's dangerous to go alone. Take me along!" Lydia paraphrases, though consoles were more her brother's thing. Too slow, those Zelda games, way too slow.

She smiles apologetically at Julie. "It comes from being on-line all the time. You start to pun, or you start to talk in kitty pidgin!" Her levity is... what's the opposite of leavened? Dampened? Close enough. Her levity is dampened by the receptionist's inescapable irritation and she quiets for the wander off to the confrence room.

And there's Molly! And Kat! And the atmosphere is a world away from the chill of the lobby. And Kat's saved the day? Huh. It only takes Lydia a moment to decide to play along. Getting in a fight over that would be like... like telling Molly that Santa isn't real1. Besides, whoever did it, she's still getting paid.

Sprite joins in the applause, with enthusiasm. "We picked up the loose ends," she says, after her hands start to go numb.

1Though still hotly debated by older and younger siblings, the number of super-groups who have experienced inexplicable acts of gift-giving after Very Special Seasonal Adventures has led some theologians to posit that, if Santa does not in actuality exist, then a very reasonable facsimile of the jolly old elf does.

Lydia feels positively tickled by the little note she's slipped. No idea what it means, but that shaky scrawl makes her smile. She decides to pick up one of those wallet-size frames at the store on her way home. It may not be the first dollar she's made, but it still feels special.

"I'd love to meet the cat too, but if there's a job that needs doing..."

Bumped Dodge and Fort a point. Added two PP worth of Expertise: Science because you'd expect her to have that, working in a high-energy physics lab part-time. Aimbot's up a point, so is Force Field (topping up Toughness), and Hard-Light Constructs ate two points, bringing it and subordinate powers like Voxel Blasters up to rank 9.

Got seven points left. I was thinking about adding the Movable extra to the Constructs, to give it a bit more utility, but that's 9 PP right there and I'm really not sure I'd get that much use out of it.

Lydia takes a sheet from Molly with a grin and a pert 'thank-you!' aaaand... wow. She hasn't seen any of these customers since that late-great-late movie marathon a few years ago! That's a really good rendition, but there's no way that's them they have to deal with. Something that big, the big groups would have to come back to do something, right? And besides, aren't they from the Pacific? It's not like they'd cut through Panama or something just to--

A distinctive roar sounds outside. Sprite's skin goes all multicoloured analog-TV snow.

Joining the others at the window, she slips a little out of phase and shoves her upper body through for a better look.

Lyds waves bye-byes to Molly and throws a thumbs-up to Tim before phasing out through the wall. That is so sweet! She'll have to get him something nice after this is done. Something that says 'Thank you for being dadly'. Or something with a better vocabulary than that.

"I think they take amphibious taxis," Sprite suggests to Katja, as she peers off toward the horizon. Mothra and Ghidorah swoop and turn, elegant as the most advanced fly-by-wire craft.

"Hm. I can fly, but I don't know if I can fly fast enough to keep up with them."

Sprite frowns and shakes her head. Tightly spaced, ragged rings of near-white neon pink ripple down and out from the middle of her forehead.

"No, Brother Eye changed the encryption sequences when I stopped seeing him," she sighs. "I mean, I probably could? But the last thing I need is him flooding the internet with psycho ex stories."

Conjuring a pair of bulky, wireframe binoculars, Lydia peers through at Ghidorah in the nearer distance. They're not very effective.

"Hey! I'm not up on my current canon-- does this guy have any weak points? Slamming his heads together? Assault from inside?"

This is also the kind of place where Drain Toughness might come into play, if you don't mind your GM hating you for the near future.

"I could try overclocking, just firehosing him, but that's really going to mess with my hit ratios," Sprite explains, conjuring something that looks like a fat telescope bisected by a pair of handlebars. It isn't the most elegant looking device, to say the least.

"Or one of us could paint a target on him and everybody could try hammering on it until it gives. Like when your brother sits on you and taps your forehead with a spoon until you spit in his face."

Glowing packets of absurd energy rain down against the giant monster, bows and arrows against the lightning. But, just as the tiny Liliputians overwhelmed the... ah... unconscious and supine Gulliver, a steady stream of drubbings seems to have had an effect on Ghidorah!

"Owned!" Lydia shouts, executing a forward flip.

Obsidian doesn't need to make the suggestion twice, as Sprite draws again and tries to time her shot to bolster the lava lady's burning punch!

Hellfire! Explosions! Martian heat-ray noises! And then a monstrous pop as one of Ghidorah's heads goes flying across the harbor.

Sprite sticks in midair and gapes. Sure, giant monsters are the most likely to rebound from something like that, but it's still akin to performing a caber toss with an industrial smokestack.

"We aren't going to get sued for that, are we?" she asks, visions of an enormous witness stand occupied by a great Thing, one of its necks in a scaffolding as it regenerates, flitting through her thoughts.

In spite of that, Lydia flits down and joins the others. "We got through a day of active duty, and met a celebrity. High five!" She slaps at available hands, deciding that the possibility of lawsuits and revenge can be worried about later.
