Bjorn "Dog Killa" Rebney proudly brings to whatever Indian casino doesn't have an Asian Elvis booked that night, season ten of Bellator MMA, the toughest* tournament in sports, and the only place where title shots are earned, not given**!

Season ten will feature tournaments in the following five weight classes: Featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight (Or, as it is known on the B-leagues, trash/supperweight)

Featherweight Tournament

The featherweight tournament is an 8-man affair, and it features notable names like Diego "The Gun" Nunes, Mike "The Marine" Richman, and Goiti Yamauchi. The winner gets a title shot at either Pat Curran or Daniel Straus, unless Curran loses again, in which case Pat will probably get another rematch. My Crustacean Mafioso prediction for this tournament is: Yamauchi does cool subs to everyone

Lightweight

The 155lbs tourney is another 8-man dust 'em up, and it's got Marcin "Pole Harris" Held, Terry "Posterized" Etim, Patricky "Pitbull" Freire, and my fave, David "The Caveman" Rickels. Winner takes on the winner of Alvarez/Chandler II. My pick is for Rickels to Caveman club his way through again.

Welterweight

Welterweight is another 8-man tournament, and it features such luminaries as Joe Riggs and War Machine, and the winner gets to take on either Douglas Lima or Rick Hawn. All I care in this tournament is that War Machine gets his face punched really good.

Light Heavyweight

The 205 pound tournament is only a 4-man version, and it's totally not because Bjorn wants King Mo vs Rampage (It totally is). Former champ Christian M'Pumbu and Mikhail Zayats round out the brackets. Part of me wants Zayats for upset purposes, but I would also like to see Mo win, only to lose for a third time to Emmanuel Newton (After Newton beats Atilla Vegh, :ortiz:

)

Heavyweight

Supperweight is a respectable 8-man tournament, with the winner taking on the victor between Chieck Kongo and Vitaly Minakov. The tournament features solid, jiggly names like Blagoi Ivanov, Dick Hale, Lavar Johnson, and Mighty Goddamn Mo. Let's Go Mo!

Season 10 will have seven title fights, and most of the challengers are tournament winners, so that's not bad.

Bantamweight - Bellator 111, March 7, 2014

Eduardo Dantas vs Anthony Leone

Dantas was going to take on Rafael Silva, but Silva was injured, so here's Anthony Leone, who lost to Silva in the tournament finals because why not?

Featherweight - Bellator 112, March 14, 2014

Daniel Straus vs Pat Curran

Rather than have tournament winners Patricio Freire or Frodo Khasbulaev take on Straus, Curran gets a rematch, despite losing a clear-cut unanimous decision (And Freire lost a splitter against Curran previously)

Light Heavyweight - Bellator 113, March 21, 2014

Attila Vegh vs Emmanuel Newton

I'm pretty sure this is the first ever title unification fight in Bellator's history, because Vegh was "mysteriously injured", leading to a Newton vs Mo rematch for an interim belt. Now Newton faces a big step up in competition as he takes on Vegh.

Middleweight - Bellator 114, March 28, 2014

Alexander Shlemenko vs Brennan Ward

The Siberian Spinner takes on the Irish Bad Boy in the first traditional Bellator title fight of the season. I'm pretty sure Shlemenko will whomp on Ward pretty spectacularly and then retreat to his fortress of terror in Russia's frozen wastelands.

Heavyweight - Bellator 115, April 4, 2014

Vitaly Minakov vs Chieck Kongo

Yet another tournament winner taking on the champ, what is Bellator coming to?! Kongo struggled with a water bottle while crushing cans in the tournament, so it's a mixed bag as to how he'll deal with Minakov (Probably by dick punches and French wrestling)

Welterweight - Bellator 117, April 18, 2014

Douglas Lima vs Rick Hawn

With Ben Askren and GSP gone, the two major North American 170 pound titles might finally be held by dudes what kick-punch a little more (Nah, Hawn will probs judo the poo poo outta Lima)

Bantamweight - Bellator 118, May 2, 2014

SOMEBODY vs Joe Warren

Whomever wins betwixt Edward Dentist and Andy Lions gets to punch Joe Warren in his head for a couple of minutes until he starts to wrestle them. Should be neat!

Marquee Names!

In addition to the top-level talent in the various tournaments, Bellator has a roster of dudes that are sure to draw in die hard and casual fans alike.

Rad Martinez vs Edson Berto - Bellator 114. Rad is one of the most fighters around, as he spends his non-fight time taking care of his paraplegic father. Berto is a leg lock specialist that never gets any press, mainly because he hasn't really ever destroyed anyone's feets.
Joey Beltran vs Vladimir Matyushenko - Bellator 116. If I have to explain why this fight is going to be the best, you are a dirt worst garbage person lamentable dustman. It's gonna be , yo

* - Unless we want King Mo to win a tournament, then he'll fight two iterations of Some Dude and still lose to one of them.

** - Unless we really like Pat Curran and give him an automatic rematch. Or get someone to fake an injury so we can make the 'interim' title match we really want

As much as I would enjoy the disaster of seeing Chandler vs Alvarez III get called off, I want both of those guys to get their biggest payday and for Eddie to leave and make it to UFC, so I wouldn't laugh like I did for Tito vs Rampage falling apart.

But man that PPV is going to be a disaster, it's sandwiched between a Floyd Mayweather PPV & UFC 173.
