I have a soft spot for clerics in this game because training mode lets you turn them into high-level experience pinatas with no effort at all. It makes leveling up easy, at least in the early going... I know you get more experience for hitting a target higher level than you (up to 50, maybe?) but I'm not sure how quickly that drops off.
