Should be fine. The current arc has felt like an endgame for a good dozen chapters and pretty much anything that could be possibly viewed as a hanging thread has been resolved.

I actually sort of wish I still had the original Dark Horse books from the late 90s (I think I wound up giving them away when DH went back and released them). Sure there were missing chapters and they were unflipped, but it was a part of history or something.

Man Afternoon went from having AMG, Blade of the Immortal, Mushishi, Genshiken 1, YKK, and Blame all in the same magazine at one point of time to...uh, I guess Genshiken 2?

E: The Berlin wall was still up when AMG started its serialization.

Ive seen the majority of the shows but have no idea how that could go on for 25 drat years. Are they going out yet? That poo poo gets insufferable quickly.

It was never really a question of whether they were going out or not, it's not like he was Rumiko Takahashi after all. More than that they never got physically intimate beyond holding hands and the occasional kiss, and even the reason for that got a rather hilarious(ly bad) explanation in recent chapters.

I've always sort of felt it wasn't really a problem, since the manga was more about the wacky misadventures and being chill/predictably light-hearted than the drama of the romance.

Yuri fans infuriated by the existence of yaoi (and yaoi fans infuriated by the existence of yuri, but there don't seem to be as many of those) are not the dumbest anime fandom thing (there are a lot of dumb anime fandom things), but they're pretty dumb.

Lucy Heartfilia was joking, of course, but it's a sentiment I've seen unironically elsewhere.

No, there's really no such distinction. That's an invention of western fandom. BL is what they call it in Japan these days (porn or otherwise), 'yaoi' has largely fallen out of use.

Aldnoah.Zero has some cast announced and a promo video. It looks an awful lot like a Sunrise not-Gundam show. Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill) is attached for the music.

Gargantia's followup project has been confirmed to be a two episode OVA released this Fall. So between Gaim (regular reminder: please watch Kamen Rider Gaim it's great), Psycho-Pass 2, Aldnoah.Zero, and Gargantia OVAs I'm wondering just how Urobuchi is going to be shuffled around here. Probably the Gargantia OVAs will get Gargantia'd and Urobuchi won't actually be writing anything there. I'm most worried about Psycho-Pass 2, which Urobuchi hasn't been confirmed on yet, although he has retweeted some stuff regarding it so he's probably still involved somehow.

EDIT: Oh yeah, there's a promo out for Expelled From Paradise.

Buried right there at the bottom of the article ANN mentions that the person billed for series composition for Aldnach.Zero isn't Urobuchi but a guy who does a shitload of adaptation stuff (ranging from "really good" to "god awful"). So I guess Aldnach.Zero is the one getting Gargantia'd this year.

EDIT 3: I'd probably care more about the above usually but Gaim will still be airing in the Summer and it owns so I'm not really upset by this development.

It's only just been announced. No date has been set. The manga isn't out until next week either. They put out a preview for the first chapter which is the only exposure it's gotten in the west aside from the anime announcement. We've been talking about it because Trigger is coming off Kill la Kill and their next project was virtually unknown and looked generic.

I didn't notice Kanno was on this, but it's not too surprising since she did both Bebop and Kids on the Slope with him. Looks like I have another soundtrack to look forward to.

Aw... I really hope Urobuchi plays more of a role in that because watching Gargantia get butchered in real time was rather painful. At least it'll have some good music.

I highly doubt it. Gargantia would have been a whole lot worse if Urobuchi didn't save the last episode, but it was nowhere near near Valverave terrible.

This would be awesome if they would catch up on Maoyuu and then release the translation as soon as they come out in Japan. However, my (admittedly cursory) first glance makes me think that they're only going to release one chapter a month, which is dumb and bad. DUMB AND BAD. :mad:
