Fresh meat. One name per Goon, guys! Pick one and stick with it! And before we even go down that road, we already have: Dinner, Nugget, Burger, Shake and Fries. I do know of a person who bought fertile eggs at Trader Joe's, took them home and successfully incubated and hatched them, though. I want to hear more about this.

I usually liken a chick hatching to the scene in Kill Bill Volume 2, where Uma Thurman uses her fist to pound her way out of a coffin. But instead uses her face.

Tortuga posted:I thought they could fly unless you clipped their wings? Depends on the breed, actually. Slender chickens can fly a certain amount--not like sparrows or hawks (unless unwillingly assisted by said hawk) or anything. Mostly they use their wings for jumping up or down off things. Heavy breeds like Cochins or birds with inefficient feathers for flying, like Silkies, can't. If you think you are interested now, wait till you watch one hatch.

#10 is peeping and all pissed off, and you'll see it's beak poking out now and then. In a bit he'll stick his beak out and bitch his brains out.

For my name suggestion: Angel Eyes. Based on the character from the Sergio Leone film "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly." Angel Eyes was "The Bad" in the film title. The chook can be "Angel" for short.
