"Hell naw guys, internet football lives forever. At least until EA kills the servers for it anyway. " The Notorious ZSB

"The NFL is a boring, uninteresting product that only serves to amuse me because of gambling and fantasy football" - Lil Jon Galt (Season 1 quote)

Season 1 is gone like a sweet fever dream, and with it, the reign of Bama. Season 2 saw the retiring of a handful of successful coaches and a new era of dominance for the Bulldogs from Athens. The SEC East was sewn up by Coach John Brown before the end of the regular season, but the SEC West remained competitive well into the late weeks of the season. Coach Cletus and his star HB Griffin pounded their way to an SECCG, but ultimately fell short to the offensive juggernaut manned by first-year QB Hutson Mason. Let us take a moment to remember those who have gone before us and to also congratulate/inflate the ego of Coach John Brown and the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

Let's take a look at our teams after two seasons!

#1 Florida: Diodeous (Career Record: 19-7)
OVR A+ / OFF A / DEF A+ (97 OVR - 95 OFF - 97 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 5.5
Top returning players:
D. Dowler nee Fowler (LE) 94 OVR 90 ACC - 91 POW / 2014: 24 tkls, 15 tfl, 13 sks, 1 FF, 1 DEF
M. Jones (HB) 91 OVR 90 SPD - 97 ACC - 88 BTK - 87 BCV / 2014: 163 att, 872 yds, 11 TDs (5.3 ypc), 32 rec, 260 yds, 2 TDs
*Spotlight player: L. Pittman (WR) 88 OVR 94 ACC - 94 RTE - 87 CTH / 2014: 91 rec, 1626 yds, 19 TDs (17.9 ypr)
For some strange reason, the pre-season pollsters have favored Florida as the #1 team in the nation, which inevitably means that Florida will produce an 8-5 season. Jeff Driskel (and his boatloads of INTs) are gone, and in his place are 4 QBs who have produced 1 total pass attempt over the past 2 seasons. This unproven bunch will lean heavily on a stable of experienced RBs led by Senior HB Matt Jones who is coming off a strong Junior season. Without Driskel, Jones should be expected to shoulder a greater load in the running game. The run-first UF team boasts one of the SEC's top wideouts in Latroy Pittman, who finished in 2nd place for a number of awards in 2013, as well as a handful of experienced role-players in D. Robinson and A. Fulwood. Florida graduated 12 starters (13 total) to the NFL via the draft and will expect a number of young players on defense to step up. LE Dante Dowler nee Fowler looks to earn a first round grade for the upcoming NFL draft by improving on a school record 13 sacks during the previous season. Good recruiting over the past two years has the team stocked to recover from the attrition, but a Natl Championship or SEC Championship appearance is a long-shot.

#2 Georgia: John Brown (Career Record: 26-2)
OVR A+ / OFF A+ / DEF A+ (99 OVR - 99 OFF - 97 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 10
Top returning players:
Todd Gurley (HB) 99 OVR Career: 2934 yds, 33 TDs
J. Harvey Clemons (SS) 95 OVR 99 AWR - 87 PRC - 85 MCV - 91 ZCV / 2014: 8 INTs, 4 TFL, 8 DEF
*Spotlight player: Christian LeMay (QB) 99 OVR 91 AWR - 87 THP - 97 THA
Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall might be the closest thing the SEC gets to buddy characters; in their third year, they return with their third different QB under center (Aaron Murray - Hutson Mason - Christian LeMay), but at least they've got each other, right? Fans are beginning to suspect that it doesn't matter who the Dogs plug in at the QB slot so long as that player is highly rated, somewhat mobile, and has a cannon for an arm (Jared Lorenzen's agents have inquired about the upcoming vacancy for the 2016 season). The defense is stocked with 7 All-SEC selections (5 of whom are All-Americans) and should continue being the same stingy, attacking unit that carried UGA through the post-season of 2014. DT J. Taylor anchors the middle once again, but two years of top 10 recruiting classes mean he won't be carrying the load alone thanks to gobs of depth at every position. If UGA stumbles, they'll stumble early and it won't be due to complacency, so expect the Bulldogs to come into the season treating every game like a trap game.

#7 Louisiana State University: zimbomonkey (Career Record: 4-7)
OVR A+ / OFF A+ / DEF A+ (99 OVR - 99 OFF - 97 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 33
Top returning players:
J. Hill (HB) 97 OVR 90 STR - 96 BTK - 89 TRK - 92 BCV
2014: 217 atts, 1322 yds, 14 TDs (6.1 ypc)
2013: 213 atts, 1340 yds, 13 TDs (6.2 ypc)
J. Mills (CB) 95 OVR 95 PRC - 99 MCV - 96 ZCV / 2014: 3 TFL, 3 INT, 1 TD, 6 DEF
*Spotlight player: S. Rivers (QB) 95 OVR 89 THP - 92 THA / 2014: 194-310 / 3166 yds / 36 TDs /12 INTs
The new coach of LSU inherited a team of unenthusiastic and overweight camp recruits and transformed them into a fiery (but still overweight) band of brothers who toppled the evil Tony Perkis and eventually won the important competition against the rival camp of athletic MVP youngsters. The first-year coach finished with more Ls than Ws, but that shouldn't discourage this highly touted and highly talented team from making a run in the recently upended SEC west. Dynamic HB J. Hill deferred the draft for another year and looks to improve his draft stock as well as the team's win total. The offense should be rolling under the direction of senior QB Rivers and a talented WR corps that might be among the best in the nation. A 4-7 record doesn't seem realistic for 2015, especially given the accumulation of talent across the DL that should prevent all but the most stout OLs from moving the ball in the trenches.

#8 Mississippi State: cletus42o (Career Record: 19-8)
OVR B+ / OFF A+ / DEF B (91 OVR - 97 OFF - 87 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 28.5
Top returning players:
D. Prescott (QB) 96 OVR 95 AWR - 85 THP - 94 THA / 2014: 161-202 / 2279 yds / 21 TDs / 12 INTs; 80 rushes, 491 yds, 8 TDs
Benadrick McKinney (MLB) 94 OVR 92 TAK - 90 POW - 91 BSH - 96 PUR / 2014: 65 tkls, 7 TFL, 3 sks, 3 DEF; Career: 139 Solo tackles (SEC leader)
*Spotlight player: J. Robinson (HB) 95 OVR 91 SPD - 92 ACC - 94 BTK / 2014: 2 TDs
Let's talk about over-achieving: Miss St hasn't been the recruiting powerhouse that USCe or UGA have been over the past two years and they've also competed against a well-coached Ole Miss team for the top in-state recruits, so most people expected an 8-win season to be a benchmark. The Bulldogs reaction to armchair pundits and pre-season pollsters during the 2014 season was a resounding, "gently caress you" as HB N. Griffin ran rough-shod over the SEC West en route to a defeat in the SECCG. Entering 2014, Griffin was an unproven commodity who was tabbed to be "the guy" in Starkville, but no one expected him to walk/run away with the Heisman, Doak Walker and Walter Camp awards. The expectations for the Bulldogs are much higher this year, especially given the return of defensive captain MLB Benadrick McKinney (The SEC's current career leader in solo tackles) and an offense that looks to have improved from a dominant 2014 run. This team should be in contention for a division title once again but any hopes for a conference title run through Athens and those other pesky Bulldogs. On the defensive side of the ball, the lack of depth outside of the secondary is very concerning if the team looks to compete again in 2016.

#9 South Carolina: Lil' Jon Galt (Career Record: 21-5)
OVR A+ / OFF A+ / DEF A (97 OVR - 97 OFF - 95 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 5
Top returning players:
S. Carson (HB) 96 OVR 97 SPD - 99 ACC / 2014: 270 atts, 2016 yds, 33 TDs (7.5 ypc)
T. Gurley (FS) 92 OVR 89 AWR - 89 MCV - 97 ZCV / Career: 4 INTs, 5 DEF
*Spotlight player: T. Holloman (MLB) 88 OVR 93 BSH - 86 TAK - 86 HPW / 2014: 53 tkls, 6 TFL, 2.5 sks, 3 INTs, 4 DEF, 1 FF
USCe looked like they were on a collision course with UGA for control of the SEC East and a potential national title berth until the real world and needy jerk children interrupted e-football dominance. The Gamecocks return one of the best HBs in CFB and a stable full of 4 and 5-star recruits ready to do bad. S. Carson and M. Davis combined for 44 TDs on the ground in 2014 and could potentially top these numbers if their coach can wrestle control back over this team. This currently rudderless squad has great depth at HB, WR, LB and across the secondary, but without direction from the evil mastermind, this team is aiming for a .500 season.

#12 Missouri: The Notorious ZSB (Career Record: 10-2)
OVR B+ / OFF A / DEF B (91 OVR - 95 OFF - 87 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 20
Top returning players:
D. Green Beckham (WR) 94 OVR 94 SPD - 96 ACC - 91 CTH - 90 CIT - 91 RTE
[/i] 2014: 85 recs, 1325 yds (15.6 ypr), 22 TDs
E. Payton (CB) 87 OVR 92 MCV - 92 ZCV - 89 PRS / Career: 5 INTs, 13 DEF
*Spotlight player: M. Mauk (QB) 92 OVR 88 THP - 88 THA - 85 AWR
2014: 192-308 / 3088 yds / 32 TDs / 23 INTs; 119 rushes, 513 yds, 5 TDs
Missouri was a big unknown heading into the 2014 season and the first-year head coach set the bar very high going forward. The SEC east looks to be a competitive race with UF/Mizzou/UK jockeying to take control of the vacuum left by the temporary departure of USCe's head coach. Mizzou might just be the team that takes a big leap forward in 2015, but ultimately the team will live and die by their low-rated defense. Every possession for this potent offense will matter with the suspect defense in a supporting role and Dorial Green Beckham (SEC leader in receptions and TDs with 131 for 23 TDs) looks to be the nexus for the passing offense after turning down a potential mid-round selection in the NFL Draft. QB M. Mauk shifts into a larger role and needs to direct his team to a strong season in order to compete in this difficult division. Buzz around the locker room is that Gary Pinkel's last mixtape helped focus the chi of a young team during the 2014 season and that this year's "turnt up" jam is the reprise of "Lawn Boy" from Phish's November 22, 1997 show at the Hampton Coliseum .

#13 Kentucky: AfterFather (Career Record: 18-8)
OVR B+ / OFF A+ / DEF B+ (91 OVR - 97 OFF - 88 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 36
Top returning players:
J. Clemons (HB) 93 OVR 90 SPD - 96 ACC - 90 BTK - 92 ELU / 2014: 81 atts, 749 yds, 10 TDs
C. Quinn (CB) 87 OVR 99 AWR - 94 MCV / 2014: 5 INTs, 6 DEF, 1 TD, 1 FF
*Spotlight player: J. Whitlow (QB) 91 OVR 89 SPD - 91 ACC - 83 THP - 87 THA
2014: 83-112 / 18 TDs / 7 INTs / 74.1 % Comp - 105 atts, 907 yds, 19 TDs
2015 is the best shot for the Wildcats to make their statement in the SEC and they look to do it under the direction of QB Whitlow whose 19 TDs on the ground topped his 18 TDs through the air. At times, Whitlow looked more like a RB or a back in an option offense than a QB in the SEC, but somehow he is still the SEC's career leader in QBR. At HB, Clemons is looking to bring the pain with his unique combination of speed and power and his supporting cast is largely composed of Sophomores who have a lot of growing to do. This young team has a vital foundation to compete in SEC for 2015 and 2016, but the same youth is riddled with inexperience. A pair of senior corners with 98 and 99 AWR anchor the defensive backfield and will make it difficult for teams in the SEC East to pass the ball. Unfortunately, the SEC East has seemed to be a bit of a run heavy division over the past two seasons, but this could still be the year UK takes the great leap forward.

#20 Auburn: Texas A. Wreckus (Career Record 8-9)
OVR B+ / OFF B+ / DEF B+ (90 OVR - 91 OFF - 90 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 15.5
Top returning players:
J. Wallace (QB) 96 OVR 91 AWR - 88 THP - 93 THA / 2014: 19 TDs / 11 INTs / ~2300 YDs
2013: 38 TDs / 22 INTs / 3923 yds; Career: 67.4% completion, 57 TDs, 33 INTs
C. Lawson (LE) 90 OVR 85 SPD - 88 ACC - 83 PMV - 84 FMV / 2014: 40 tkls, 22 TFL, 11 Sks
*Spotlight player: K. Frost (LOLB) 91 TAK - 89 BSH - 86 SPD - 92 ACC / 2014: 20 tfl, 10 sks, 1 FF
Auburn had an up and down season, where at times, they looked like a top 5 team, and then the next week they'd fall back to earth. Some of this is the product of the coach stepping away for some games and ceding control to assistants, but this season should see improvement in QB J. Wallace's final season. In 2013, Wallace was THE MAN and ran the table in the SEC West as both a passer and a runner. In 2014, Wallace posted half the TDs (and half the INTs) that he did in 2013 and the Tigers floundered. The Defense was surprisingly strong in 2013, but a complete lack of depth outside of a strong secondary will be its Achilles heel in 2014. Injuries have the potential to wreck this team more than any other in the SEC, so any pre-season speculation is meaningless. If we see the Wallace of 2013, set your expectations high, but if we see the Wallace of 2014, a .500 record might be the result.

#26 Arkansas: marioinblack (Career Record 17-9)
OVR B+ / OFF A+ / DEF B+ (91 OVR - 97 OFF - 88 DEF) Average Recruiting Class: 11.5
Top returning players:
B. Allen (QB) 94 OVR 85 AWR - 89 THP - 94 THA / 2014: 310/479, 4669 yds, 46 TDs/26 INTs (64.7%) 166.6 QBR
O. Peters (MLB) 88 OVR 2014 Bednarik, Nagurski, Best LB Award Winner / 2014: 17 sks (Car: 26)
*Spotlight player: E. Hawkins (WR) 89 OVR 94 SPD - 99 ACC / 2014: 76 rec, 1024 yds, 16 TDs
2014, much like 2013, featured the Hogs airing it out on opposing secondaries which resulted in a number of receivers (and one TE) grouped tightly in the 1000 yd range. With so many veteran receiving options, it is hard to predict who will be the breakout star, but lightning quick Hawkins (who looks to be running in the slot WR position) looks like he will improve on a high-powered sophomore season. The QB of the defense, Otha Peters, is returning and looks to be the best LB in the SEC in 2015, and the QB of the Offense, B. Allen could be in contention for the O'Brien award at the season's conclusion. Arkansas is stacked at HB with a roster of 4 players who are at least 89 OVR. The offense will ball out in 2015 once again, but will the coach be there to right a ship that was sagging at the end of the 2014 season?

"Rules"
1) I don't care about CPU games, just get them done. You can restart as many times as you need to, but please don't restart games to pad the stats.

2) Difficulty: All-American / 5 Minute Quarters (I can't loving remember: did we go to 6?) / No Recruiting Boosters / Ice the Kicker is On / Homefield Advantage is On / Coaches Start at Level 1

3) You must create a coach for this dynasty. The SEC can be a little top-heavy with high quality coaches, so in the interest of persuading users to take a look at teams where the coach is the deficit, I'd like us all to start from the same place.

4) Like the ACC, no FCS games. Make schedule requests before the start of the season and I will try to accommodate them.

#8 Miss St starts the season strong with a dominating win over #5 Texas, 35-10. Texas lost their star running back for the season to injury midway through the game - so heartbreaking.

RB Josh Robinson making everyone quickly forget about our departed Heisman winner, going for 165 yards on 21 carries for 4 TD (long of 84), and picking up another 120+ through the air. And MLB Benadrick McKinney adds another 11 tackles to his career count.

AF, I've set JB to AP so you can play your game. I'll retire his coach next time I start my xbox up. Real disappointing to lose Piper and then JB shortly after, but as long as there's interest I'll keep this running and will keep putting effort into the writeups. You're proud of that defense huh? I hope we play again so I can see what it's like.

Thursday night is probably not going to work for me, I work until late which basically gets me home when you're about to zonk out. Maybe we can shoot for later Sunday afternoon, I'm going to MotoGP this weekend which is going to soak up a bunch of my free time.

We are in no rush, so that is fine.

I don't know if it will mess with the dynasty at all, but my XBL subscription lapses tomorrow and I can't afford to extend it until Friday, so I'll be out of commission for a day or two

It should be fine. Mine automatically renewed for a year even though I've always used a card to activate my account.

That could potentially blow if I completely move on from XBL once I'm done with the dynasties.
