This has been an ongoing situation for a while. It is not between us and Dragoon Gate. Our relationship remains strong and DGUSA will continue and will feature Dragon Gate talent in the future. This has been a daily thing where every day we think something was about to break. Now the clock has run out. We owe you a complete explanation and will have that on Monday. This seems super duper shady after there was no talent on the last DGUSA shows too. I don't know if it's a credit to Gabe for him not pull the carny route with Ricochet and bill him as the fly-in since he's nearly full time with Dragon Gate now. Incredibly depressing considering the cards from last year and the year before last at Wrestlemania. Makes me really glad that I caught them live in Miami a few years back.

WrestleCon kinda fizzled out, didn't it? I mean, I'm sure it'll be fun for those in New Orleans, but it doesn't quite have the hype it did last year. Indy wrestling in general doesn't seem to.

There's some pretty pissed off fans who are already pointing out that at the moment it looks like they're going to be paying double the regular price for essentially two extra evolve shows that weekend. No wonder the release didn't mention anything about refunds.

I can see why DG-USA shows are priced higher, because of the cost of flying guys in from Japan but charging double for a DG-USA show and not having any Dragon Gate draws is pretty awful, even if it isn't completely Gabe's fault he's been so petty in the past I wouldn't be surprised if something fell through because he's so stubborn.

It probably would help if Gabe didn't do that same "there's a really good explanation for this, but I can't tell you what it is until Monday" bullshit he always does. poo poo happens, and bookings fall through, but this is the second time in a row something like this has happened, and it seems pretty carny to wait until the 11th hour to announce this stuff.

If you're in it for workrate at least NJPW is firing on cylinders but if chikara was more your speed then we all know what happened with them

I went to the Mystery Vortex show. It was alright. Drake and Steen having to drop out clearly messed up what they had planned. Best Friends vs. Young Bucks was the best match on the card and holy poo poo that opening triple threat match was awesome. Who the hell is Trevor Reed?

Dragon Gate guys had visa problems. The replacements are not great. Friday: Tanaka vs. Hero Low Ki vs. Baretta Saturday: Low Ki vs. Gargano(c) Kaz/Daniels vs. ??? (Dark main. Gabe not offering refunds? Well I'm loving shocked. It's literally an Evolve card with Tanaka on one night and Kaz and Daniels on the other. If they were both on the same card then cool you have your justification for charging twice the regular price (even if that's a stretch), but as it is it's hard to argue its any more worthwhile than any other indie card.

It's not even like Gabe has a history of not offering refunds, ticketholders were offered refunds for Unscripted II (the show CM Punk was brought in to replace Punk.) He just knows people would actually want refunds this time.
