This is something that I still find hard to understand. I get that people have a budget, but considering how important your weapon is, why would you go for low quality to save a few bucks? Do you have to buy your own body armor too? I'm fairly sure that these purchases would at least be tax deductable(6 days, just fyi).

We had a union steward here at the IRS that had multiple DWI's, arrested for beating his wife, and a few other things. He was getting escorted out of the building by his manager to get arrested again by the police waiting outside. He saw the cops waiting for him and this fat, 50+ y/o man tried to make a run for it. They were waiting for his slow rear end at the other door and he gave up. But guess who was back in the building 2 weeks later? The fat union steward. He was a GS13 too. I never saw that oval office do anything except stroll around the halls. It might be bad to be black when dealing with the police, but it's great if you're a federal employee.

When I used to work in Boca Raton there would always be some loving cottonhead in his late 100's hogging up the passing lane passing nothing but the time. I can't believe that I stayed in that state for 2.5 years. What a horrible experience it was all around.
