Hey Corey, you can come back to Vancouver man - we're getting a new GM, and (probably) a new coach and we promise this time will be different baby, we've changed, we swear! What? No we don't have 2 backup goalies that we're trying to turn into #1's, don't be irrational.

if the nucks can lose at least one of these last 2, and Carolina stays even or better with us, we should nab 6th overall

I feel pretty happy about this as I don't think they're as bad as they played this year and I figure we might as well take advantage of it. I just hope I'm not living in denial about how bad this team really is. did you see Markstrom last night? The future is long and bleak.

Wait, that's how the lottery works? I thought all positions from 1st down were up for grabs with weighted probability of who takes what based on finishing, is it really just the 1st pick that's up for grabs and everyone else picks in regular order?

So just having a look at capgeek for the nucks, looks like Kassian, Schroeder, Dalpe, Tanev, and Weber are coming up on RFA, and Santorelli and Alberts are UFA. Seems we'll have around 9 million to play with, who gets resigned/dropped? Probably: Kassian (hopefully for no more than Richardson right now), Santorelli (hopefully for less than a million, but apart from the injury he was great and could probably ask for more), Tanev (gonna get paid ) maaaybe Schroeder although not if he wants more than what he's getting now and the same for Dalpe. Let Alberts walk (can we do this if he's LTIR?) and maybe don't resign Weber although he's looked okay on the PP. E: Markstrom is earning more than Lack

Unless he has a French name, I doubt it. It's likely that Maclean already knew where he was from, and the other refs too, seeing as he (Maclean) is a ref himself and talking in depth about hockey and the people who do it is, y'know, his job.
