This might be the craziest first round in NBA playoff history in terms of upsets if things go the way they've been going so far, so you shouldn't feel too bad about getting things wrong.

An historic first round, let's start with the east:

#1 Indiana Pacers vs #8 Atlanta Hawks
Result: Pacers in 7

The dreams of a sub .500 hawks team beating the 1st seed, dead forever. Had the Hawks won this would have been an amazing upset where only three people would score points in this series. Alas 76 people earn a point here with only Eratik getting the pick correct. Good job predicting the #1 seed will need 7 games to close out against the Hawks.

#4 Chicago Bulls vs #5 Washington Wizards
Result: Wizards in 5

The real, actual upset of the first round. Not only did the Wizards beat the Bulls, they did it handily in five games. 17 people score a point here with no one getting the pick right. For shame Wizard fans for shame, atone by mail ordering a Nene bobblehead and then awkwardly grabbing the back of his head with both hands as if you're about to kiss him.

#3 Toronto Raptors vs #6 Brooklyn Nets
Result: Nets in 7

The reign of the Raptor's terrible home court comes to an end. The Raptors Nets series was the closest picked series with 45 people picking the Raptors and 33 people picking the Nets. Of the 33 to pick the Nets 10 got the pick correct.

#2 Miami Heat vs #7 Charlotte Bobcats
Result: Heat in 4

Well this went as well as expected with Big Al going down. 41 people got this pick right as the Heat sweep the Bobcats making this by far and far the pick most people got right. This is also the only sweep of the first round.

#1 San Antonio Spurs vs #8 Dallas Mavericks
Result: Spurs in 7

I guess there was a slapping match in Texas or something I dunno. 76 people earn a point here while only 4 people got the pick correct.

#4 Houston Rockets vs #5 Portland Trailblazers
Result: Trailblazers in 6

RIP Kevin McHale RIP James Harden. Hello new age Dame "Damian" Lillard. This was the series most people predicted would go to 7 games with 23 people picking rockets in 7 and 4 picking blazers in 7. Like most of the first round, no one actually had a clue of how Adam Silver's new NBA worked and this series instead ended in 6. 14 people earn a point here with 9 people getting the pick correct.

#2 Oklahoma City Thunder vs #7 Memphis Grizzlies
Result: Thunder in 7

Nearly Scotty Brook'd, the Thunder edge out the win over the injured and suspended Grizzlies. Another very close to an upset series, 76 people score a point here with 5 people getting the pick correct.

#3 Los Angeles Clippers vs #6 Golden State Warriors
Result: Clippers in 7

What is there left to say about the Clippers that haven't been said as this point. In a single series they went from a title contender to a team dead in the water to the team of destiny. There is only so much Mark Jackson's personal god can do. 67 people score a point here with 8 people getting the pick right.

79 people participated in the first round. The max score you could get in the first round was 24, excluding the bonus points. The average score was 7 with the median at 8.

When I first started the thread I wasn't expecting, well, this kind of first round to happen. I expected the average score to be much, much higher but well, this is kinda good I guess in its own way so the bonus points matter more. And I didn't end up on the very bottom which is good enough :sweatdrop:
