Cannot believe I missed this, after catching last year's just as catastrophic version. Mainly what I remember are the Dillinger Escape Plan singer cutting his head with a razor so he could bleed all over the stage, someone from Slipknot weeping during an acceptance speech, and the award winner envelopes being empty so that presenter after presenter would go "AND THE WINNER IS -- this is uh there's nothing written here I don't--" until someone with a headset would run out and whisper it into the presenter's ear so he could relay it into the microphone. I'm glad to know the strategy of "leave camera running/see what happens" was still in effect.
