Not that I don't think LA is the better team, but you have to give Montreal a puncher's chance in any series, I would say. They just rope a doped Boston, not sure what else they can do. Besides poo poo the bed hilariously.

Bishop fell on his own accord! You can't tie anything back to Montreal! In the meantime, here's hoping for another 50 years of darkness to descend on the Rangers.

Can we avoid the Zapruder film treatment of this? That poo poo drives me bonkers. It was the definition of grey area. Montreal deserved better, I hope Kreider contracts herpes, etc etc. Most of me will be disappointed if Montreal tries to goon it up or run Hank. A small part of me will cry out in bloodlust, though.

If Murray gets called up and goes on a glacial rampage, clear cutting all in his path and furrowing deep rivers and valleys with his might I might just cheer for him to break off the rest of the ice shelf and float into the Atlantic Ocean and melt. Thus raising water levels by 6 feet and throwing New York into the sea. A parade down Saint Laurent in his honour, surely, would be held then.

Habs fans are allowed irrational hate for Kreider so don't get all ??? over that aspect of it. He essentially handed the series to you on a silver platter in the middle of the first game by taking out our best player. And lol at Boston fans. Quick! Montreal's down! Let's kick 'em! Note that that isn't sarcasm. i'm laughing at you like the man who you just shot through the heart but he managed to shoot you in the face simultaneously. This game played out pretty much like clockwork. Toke played ok - that second goal was the only one you can really give him guff for. The only problem was we needed one better than what you would expect, not one worse. Lundqvist was frustratingly good and the Rangers have no qualms slowing the game to a crawl. Why wouldn't you when you got Hank defending a lead. I don't like the smell of wasted potential.

The late, blindside "thank god he wasn't head hunting or stepan would be having a seizure right now" hit notwithstanding I actually really liked Prust's game. And he somehow managed to hit people and even had a fight! Without throwing out his shoulder, losing, or causing a goal.

I will throw my hat in with "one" emblazoned across it. That hit could have been much, much worse if Prust was actually skating around with a malicious intent to injure. Once Stepan came back I thought Prust might actually get zero.

Prust was 100% not headhunting there. That is "you're out, son" territory if he was interested in clocking Stepan in the head. The reasons to get angry/it was dirty were: late, blindside, and the kind of hit the NHL has stated it wants out, but contact to the head was incidental. 1 game, as I have said. More if Stepan had stayed out of the game. e. To be clear, I also don't want those kind of hits in the game. I would rather my gladiators live a life outside of adult diapers and personal care workers.

15 years ago Scott Stevens was doing that with principle point of contact being someone's nose while the crowd bloodlusted, so at least there's that. Just in case I am not being clear or I am being misread - it was dirty and suspension-worthy. I'm just glad Prust isn't Raffi Torres or Stepan would be in the hospital. There is no way any of us could have expected Stepan to be injured. He was giving and taking big hits all night. Crazy. It really, really doesn't look like "broken jaw" level of violence in the replays. That really sucks. And I try to unequivocally support contact to the head - intentional or incidental or not - as being suspendable. The sport is too fast and too violent for players to be reckless the same way their forebearers were. There is a way thinner margin of error for "permanent damage". This is where I make a tenuous connection to Carey Price and his knee.

DyneAvenger posted:The force of the hit caused both of his legs to rag doll up into the air and then lay face down on the ice for a solid 30 seconds before trying to get up. Yes and has been said by numerous posters previously, if Prust had been interested in tacking "headshot" onto the end of "late, blind side" people would have been picking Stepan's teeth off the ice with Stepan in a neck brace, not Stepan up and screaming 30 seconds after your 30 seconds. Also as I wrote! This isn't an excuse. Prust was playing without due responsibility to his peers' health and he deserves to sit. All that being said, gently caress Kreider

I just don't get it - sheltered minutes and a lot of O zone starts, sure, but I have noticed Bow do nothing but good pretty much every game he's been in, and does things dogcubes simply can't. I really like how he has managed to continue to use his puck skills in the tight checking postseason, and I have seen enough defensive disasters to remember the goat - and he aint one of them. Bow did a couple noteworthily positive things in game 3 with eight minutes worth of TOI. Montreal's lack of defensive depth has been exposed this postseason - can you imagine a world where we didn't pick up Weaver and one of Cube or Hund was playing every game? Perish the thought.
