NOFX is pretty good, but Bad Religion and Rise Against are way better.

I went to warped tour and Bad Religion played before NOFX and fat mike made jokes about having BR open for them.

Anyway. Bad religion is way better, but even they've been p bad since roughly halfway thru Generator.

friend of mine successfully convinced a student DJ to play Please Play This Song on the Radio on the college station

it's too bad that he was reasonably quick on dumping it just when it got to the relevant part

lol at everyone calling all these lovely guitar-pop bands "punk"
That includes Choking Victim and Leftover Cack

Fat Mike is routinely rude and unpleasant to his fans though, so I suppose that's kind of cool.

Also, the Dropkick Murphys are the most laughably bad and hackneyed plastic paddy band after house of pain. Celtic punk is for Germans anyway. They love that poo poo there.

heavens to murgatroyd this guy's even more punk than me

They aren't technically pop-punk in that pop-punk wasn't really a thing in the 70's but they have a few somewhat "poppy" songs.

I saw the Buzzcocks live, close to a decade ago and it was so embarrassing to see elderly men trying to rock out. NOFX must now be in their late 40s and that can't be good. Aging punk bands are even more ridiculous than your standard touring corpses like the Rolling Stones or Springsteen.

probably, but at least they wrote a song about it
