"In The Air Tonight" has an interesting structure I don't think I've ever noticed in any other song. The verse and chorus share the same chord progression, but the latter has double the harmonic motion of the former. So whereas the verse goes, I think,: Dm | Dm | C | C | Bb | Bb | C | C || the chorus is all, like,: Dm | C | Bb | C || Fascinating songwriting trick? Or simple laziness on the part of a drat singing drummer?
