"Our Universe, the "cosmic web". Each yellow dot is a galaxy. The purple streams represent dark matter." Now, take for instance our galaxy, the Milky Way. The Milky Way has about 300 billion stars in it. 300 billion. Our own solar system with its 1 star is so incredibly massive, and our galaxy has 300 billion of them. And that galaxy is just a little yellow blip on that picture. And that picture constitutes 0.000001% of the known universe.
