"Every single spree killer in history has been a registered Democrat" is a popular Freep/Freep-like meme, despite the fact that it is very easily shown to be a complete falsehood.

I gotta say, no part of the American political process makes me wish death upon public figures except the Supreme Court, because it has basically no alternative to bring about changes in staff. We need to start imposing term limits on those guys.

VitalSigns posted:So even though minimum wage is lower in real terms than what boomers got by law in 1968, the poor economy is millenials' fault because we won't work illegally for literal starvation wages? Okay then. You forgot that university (a) is now required for basically any job worth poo poo and (b) costs orders of magnitude more than it used to. Also that unpaid internships are still a thing. The poo poo is closing in from all sides.

VitalSigns posted:On the bright side, it seems like it's too late for this. Even if the court rules against Obama here, and even if an en banc ruling confirms it, and even if the Supreme Court agrees on appeal, by the time it's all said and done, people will have had health care through the exchanges for two years already by the time SCOTUS rules on it. I can't believe the Republicans would do well after they've just yanked health care away from millions of people. I imagine a ruling against the subsidies would be the quickest way to push every single red state into opting into the ACA out of a massive populist backlash. Yeahhhhh we all know Republicans would just blame Obama and their base would eat it up like candy, come on now
