game of thrones has amazing production values and acting. it's too bad the plot is total poo poo the show itself actively fights against you getting invested with any of them except, maybe, daenerys

it's literally the most cynical example of 'what sells' in recent memory - show people tits and violence and grimdark 'maturity' and people will snap it up like sweet crack
