Kill the generics when you get a goon party. KOd units should count as dead, like old school games worked. Anyways, it's in the form.

I like Algus's character, and he's a good character to have in the roster with Ramza and Delita. They contrast each other nicely, even if Algus doesn't stick around too long. And there's nothing wrong with JP boost and a bit of grinding. I doubt you'd have the opportunity to learn a usable amount of abilities otherwise, which would probably be needlessly painful on a permadeath run.

There was an LP that got through most of the game (now somewhere in the archives) but it got abandoned for the game being terrible, and because of answering one innocuous question incorrectly at the beginning of the game locked him out of a bunch of character content, if I recall. It was a good chronicle of despair and terrible game design choices.
