I took a forensic science class in college and they had a lot of guest speakers from the local police department. When we had a detective over answering questions somebody asked him what the most realistic depiction of policework on television was, he said "the wire" and me and only like two other people in the class had even seen it. But when the blood spatter expert visited the entire class was asking Dexter questions

I liked the part where McNulty, who is played by a British actor, goes undercover as an Englishman and has basically the worst most unconvincing accent ever put on film. It was funny.

The fact that Simon went from making the greatest show ever to his boring circlejerk about how great New Orleans is is disappointing but at the same time understandable because there's really no way he could top the wire so why not just make whatever the hell he wants on HBO's dime

When I was marathoning the entire series I watched 2-3 episodes per day. Binge watching is far superior then watching one episode and then having to wait a week for the next one like a pleb.
