I'm really liking Orphan Black right now and Continuum. The first two season of Continuum are pretty hit or miss and hokey a lot of the time but they were just setting things up for season three. Season three of continuum so far is really really intelligent/planned out/good.

it had some good bits, but it really felt unnecessary and they'd have been better off knowing they were going to finish in 4 seasons rather than being up in the air about doing 4 or 5

Black Mirror is basically a series of TV movies rather than a traditional miniseries, each episode is entirely self contained, has a totally different setting and usually has different writers and creative teams. Liking or disliking one episode has very little bearing on whether you'll like or dislike any of the others. Since you don't have to watch them in order, just pick any that seem appealing and ignore the ones that don't.

I like the one with the brain memory/recording implants, it's low key and pretty relatable.
