When that date went well and we clicked i made the effort to learn BSL via online resources youtube etc and the need to write things is a lot less. We've only been going out a few months now but getting pretty serious we've met the families etc. Mine are making an effort to learn some signs but im still acting as a translator most of the time which can get a bit tiring. And my 5 year old neice has learned to fingerspell her name and a couple of signs which is kinda cute i think. Nope, sometimes its fun to sneak up on her
