Indiana. You can't buy alcohol or a car on Sundays. And you can't buy cold beer from anything but a liquor store. Grocery stores have to sell beer at room temperature. THIS IS REAL PAIN.

I like that the states where you can't buy beer late "in the interests of public safety" are probably the same ones where you're free to carry guns around on your person like an old timey cowboy.

Wisconsin is the best state. No state-run store horseshit so booze is cheap. We can't buy it from liquor stores after 9 pm but eh, most everyone has a bar's worth of booze in their home anyway. Plus kids can drink in bars with their parents. We start our alcoholics young Flipside: Super lax DUI laws that don't have any real consequences until the 3rd or 4th one, that kind of sucks

Jimong5 posted:Like i said before, if you live in an urban area, if its legal only there some idiot is going to drive in from the suburbs to buy booze. I think that the drinking age at 21 is stupid, dry counties are stupid, but a sunset on liquor sales is ok, because the only reasons to buy alcohol that late are either because you forgot to buy it earlier, and (horror!) you have to spend the night sober, or you want to keep the party going. I'm pretty responsible and the law was loving with me because I wanted to be mo' drunk in the morning. Maybe if you had some stats or something from a reasonable source instead of just your imagination that most people who want to buy alcohol are willing to drunk ghost ride the whip to wherever they can find it i'd respect your argument. As it is though i'm just gonna guess that you're a Mennonite who huffs CHP dick on the weekends rather than drink.

Jimong5 posted:I think those law are in place because nobody decides to start getting drunk at 4 AM, and the only people that would buy beer that late are going to drive drunk down to the liquor store. I work at a liquor store and there are a terrifying amount of people who will drive drunk to the liquor store in the middle of the day. I almost feel like you'd be less likely to get hit by a drunk at night because they're on the lookout for cops then and you're more likely to be watching out for drunks.

Can you order beer and alcohol off of Amazon Yet or is that still in a gray area? Because I buy most of my alcohol at Costco due to them being the cheapest and best value out of any liquor store. Even their black Friday liquor sales are amazing.

It's amazing if you're making punch, that's the only time I'll get one of those huge rear end wine bottles the size of a human child. They have decent selection of Belgian and german beers near me usually, so I'll buy like a 36 can case of craft beer w/o breaking the bank.

I don't usually go there except to renew my contact lens prescription, so i'm not sure what sort of beer they sell here. Been to a couple parties though where enormous bottles of Kirkland brand Vodka and huge jugs of Pom Cranberry juice were broke out. Thank god for it.
