Not to pick on you, but that's not really the case at all. In any kind of privilege issue, one of the (ideally sooner but usually) later steps toward change after "people get mad" has to be "people with privilege get mad too".

The "the truth must be in the middle" stuff was less than great though. That's a Fox News-level of intellectual honesty that actively supports the privileged status quo.

Seriously, I'm aware there are some lovely people around (ZakS, Riaggi, Tarnowski, and Desborough come to mind).

But show me your evidence. Show me what it's worse than. Or show me the consequences. Who's been driven out? Who that I haven't mentioned is doxxing? And that it's down to name levels says something.

Because what I'm reading here is the nerd version of Christian Persecution Syndrome. People love claiming things are shittier than they are. People love to see themselves as oppressed minorities no matter where they are. I read Grognards.txt - and yes, there is skeevy stuff there. But it's isolated.

But people who are at least trying to be decent hold just about all the high ground. As I said, there are basically three big companies counting Onyx Path. All problematic at times, but all at least trying. And trying counts for a lot. However this thread seems to be demanding perfect purity.

I don't see why it even has to get to the level of harassment for people to get angry about the lovely people in the hobby. From the tribal, othering language of Tarnowski to the mildly sexist, exploitative "D&D With Porn Stars" poo poo, why should everyone sit by and be quiet while the biggest name in our hobby hires and gives shoutouts to lovely, toxic people?

I'm absolutely not trying to dismiss the doxxing/harassment stuff (which is abhorrent), just trying to put things into perspective. If I am marginalizing it, please feel free to tell me off.
