I do think there was interesting roleplaying potential if, say, he'd been a teenager pilot simply dating another PC's daughter (and asked beforehand about it, too). The age gap and the "Oh, they're loving" are the really sleevy parts here (and you were right to leave that game). But, yeah, some players just are sleazy.

Night10194 posted:Oh, yeah. Romance happens in AdEva. It's just best handled like, say, Monster Hearts rather than creepy anime porn. It's hard to play a bunch of teenagers who are facing existential horror without them fumbling around with feelings and relationships and such, it's just those should be the focus, you know? It's like how Monsterhearts has sex moves, of course, but generally isn't intended to be an X-rated game. Yeah, you pretty much get it about Monsterhearts. Too bad at least one certain player in the one Monsterhearts game I was in didn't get it. I still had fun playing my gothic Mortal obsessed with the idea of darkness and "die die mundanes" interior monologues, but it would've been better without their sleaziness. I do recommend giving it a try. With cool players.

Traveller posted:Mushi-shi is the chillest and there is no game that could possibly replicate its sheer chillness. Golden Sky Stories. (Though that's more in terms of chillness than actually replicating Mushi-shi.) Still, I suppose you could do a game about wandering problem-solving youkai.
