I'm new to this show, but every episode I've seen has been wonderful. I think I was flipping channels when I saw Jack Black as Elvis. Then I had to go to On Demand and catch up. Totally addictive.

This is too good. Soon to be binging season 1. I'd heard of the show before but for some reason I never watched it or expected it to be this loving funny (and of course it is how could that concept not be?).

Once you've caught up on the TV Series, the original Funny or Die episodes are worth watching, too!

I love the moments where they let the narrator continuously gently caress up their own narrative and have the actors play that all the way out. Usually it's just small little instances, but when they have a whole couple minutes devoted to the drunk narrator rearranging their story correctly, it's perfect.

Me too...and the reaction of the character they're talking to (usually ends up being the one played by Derek, coincidentally) in the story as they try to encourage them and occasionally suggest words is also hilarious

Some episodes it really seems like Derek is not having a good time at all. Maybe it's because he is drunk too, but a way bigger drinker. One of the recent episodes one guy literally said "laugh with me!" and it was just :(

Well, you have to realize they shoot hours of these people retelling the story, getting progressively drunker. He's having fun, but this poo poo can go long into the night and he's worrying about what's usable, what isn't, how they can use the footage, etc. Personally, any heavy night of drinking with friends ends up at a much lower tempo than it begins, and I don't have to worry about making a TV show with our conversation.
