I love that the Cubs eked out two low scoring wins and apparently saved all of that offense for game three where they are just murdering the ball. It's fun to watch a team be not-terrible.

The league wants you to call balls over the plate, not the ones three or four inches outside :eng101:

I've seen games go perfect for 12 innings all for naught. I've seen no-hitters pitched on illicit drugs. Homer streaks lasting eight games and 20 run losses. I've seen pennants won and seasons collapse. All these memories will be lost in time. Like tears in the rain.

Ahaha. Ortiz looking pissed in the dugout.

That was an awesome play from Rizzo. I love that he had the awareness to not only realize that Villanueva wasn't going to cover first in time, but to know that they could get Papi's slow rear end at the plate. And a crisp delivery and smooth tag from Castillo. This game has been a lot of fun, even if part of me wishes they would just put another four runs on the board to move it out of reach.

Darwin Barney is a super cool guy. That's why I'll be so sad to see him go. Just trade Samardzija, Barney and Nate to San Fran for all of their prospects so that I can continue to root for them.
